The Sestris farm is a successful enterprise which has grown steadily in the last century. The farm is run by Pitor and Della Sestris, with the help of various family members and hired hands. They specialize in raising and training hisan, a strange breed of horse-like animals with leopard-type patterns in their short hair and sharpened teeth. They are long, sleek and muscular, known to be very fast and to live half as long as men; however, they are also very difficult to breed and to train/tame. Few enterprises have managed to be successful in the venture.

The farm also raises more common animals for protein, milk, and cheese, and raises a number of crops in the fertile fields. While certainly well off given the typically modest residences around them, the family is a long way from the glory of days past. Once a proud aristocratic line, a plot to assassinate several politicians a century or so ago saw the family stripped of their titles and exiled. They scattered all over, some ending up in Vyeth and parts of the nearby continents. One small family branch found their way to a little-populated continent and built Sestris farm from the ground up.
