BACKGROUND
Aelthalion was but a young elf during the Weeping War that brought down Myth Drannor.  In the war's latter days (just before the mass exodus of the cities' remaining citizens), the precocious Aelthalion girded himself for battle and slipped out of his home.  He was caught in an ambush and found himself fighting desperately for his life.  He was rescued by his aunt, a powerful wizard and secret Elven High Mage, who cast a spell that combined the effects of a teleport and temporal stasis spell on him.  Sadly, she would die in that encounter and be unable to release the child from stasis.  It would be over 700 years before the boy would be released.
