Otis stands taller than most dwarves and could even easily pass for a short human if not for his ape-like frame. Heavily muscled with broad shoulders and long arms, he walks in a hunched gait as if ready to leap at any moment. Despite his hefty appearance, Otis is surprisingly agile with large dexterous hands. His weathered skin show signs of a life outdoors, but his behaviours reveal that he much prefers the comforts of an inn and warm bed. Trusting and curious by nature, Otis often finds himself never too far from trouble or an impending brawl; which he enjoys, more for the challenge than the violence.

He wears studded leather armour with dark tan leggings and a solid pair of black boots. He carries a range of weaponry, including a light crossbow, a shortsword, daggers and some darts. Tucked into his belt is an unusual looking rod which he holds as he walks; very similar to the hilt of a sword. He also wears fingerless gloves that he is never seen to remove.
