Marissa Ehridol is from the Ehridol family; one of the three Old Ruling families of Stormhaven. She is the daughter of Lady Allisa Ehridol, ruler of the Mariner's Guild, and sister of Beniz Ehridol, the Royal Astronomer. She does not take her family lineage or status lightly, and is a proud, honorable woman who is considered a worthy ship's captain in her own right. Due to her exploits and bravery over the years, she is known as The Sea Dragon, and well respected by her crew, those about the docks of Stormhaven, and the citizenry of the great city itself.

The Sea Dragon is taller than many human females, and her weight is appropriate to her height. Her hair is brown, shorter, and free-flowing more often than not. Her eyes are brown, and have a depthless quality to them. Her body is not that of the "soft" persuasion and appears to be muscular and well-conditioned from a lifetime on the sea and performing the physical tasks required of any good sailor. She wears a mixture of clothing and leather armor that fits tighter to her body, and carries a short sword on her left side. She is known to be quite deadly with her preferred weapon, the spear.
