History: Little is known about Clara before meeting Robert Wycliffe while traveling with her parents in Europe. There was a whirlwind romance and marriage. They continued their travels together with her family, intending on returning to London to meet his family and have him start his medical practice. Until tragedy struck and her parents and husband were killed in an avalanche in the Himalayas.

Clara required several surgeries herself and spent much time recovering under the care of Robert's  mentor, an esteemed doctor who accompanied to her to London. The travels took quite some time. Robert's family welcomed her with open arms and she has been staying with them while continuing to receive care from the man who meant so much to her husband.
