Gabriella Valente

Description: Gabriella is a tall woman with long jet black hair which she normally ties up behind her head, exposing her neck.  She has captivating green eyes and sharp well defined features.  In another life she would be considered beautiful although there is little softness to her features and her eyes often evince a spark of cruelty.

A life outdoors and learning the ways of the City at night has aged her somewhat – she looks older than her 20 years and a glance at her hands betrays she is used to hard work.  She has a slim figure but is quite toned.

She typically dresses in black, black leggings and a black jerkin.

She isn’t particularly interested in making friends, seeing people either as business contacts or enemies.  She doesn’t have the intelligence to hide this so others struggle to like her seeing her as untrustworthy. Her outlook on life could be considered quite selfish – she loves her family deeply and desires to be successful and rich but outside of this her interests are limited.

Background: Gabriella and her brother Roberto are proud members of the Valente Trading Company based in Padova, Tilea.  The Valente family pride themselves on ‘unique sourcing activity’, often working for high profile clients where discretion is assured – and essential.

Gabriella and Roberto are twins, Gabriella born just a few minutes before her brother.  Subsequently they have spent their lives entwined with each other – feuding and bickering and trying to find space for their selves.  At the same time they are fiercely protective of each other and their family.

Gabriella would kill without a moment’s hesitation for any slight on her family name.  Likewise if she perceived her brother’s life to be in danger she would instantly risk her wellbeing to help Roberto.

Gabriella grew up with only one goal, to rise in favour of the business.  Her days were spent playing in the streets with Roberto but at night she headed to the river Remo to watch Papa’s men load and unload goods away from the eyes of the tax collectors and lawmen – steel and food going to the petty fiefdoms of the Border Princes, strange glowing caskets and bags held by men with iron gloves coming from the East.  She learnt the importance of being quick and silent…

Now, ‘Mama’s Bambino’s’ have come of age and are keen to prove themselves.  Papa has sent them out into the world, to obtain Wyrdstone from the blighted city of Mordheim for his ‘privileged clients’.  Mama cried as Papa kissed his children on their cheeks and bade them farewell, proud of the grounding the children had received and also privately pragmatic in that his first born son Alessio was minding the business in the city, his precious daughter Griselda was in place at the Alchemical Collegia and was learning her trade and building connections.  Even if anything happened to the twins young Beppe was showing promise
