Appearance:

6'1" and 178 lbs, Eric is roughly average height and weight. Keep himself in good shape by working out though it is unnecessary. Has brown short cut hair a fair complexion. His green eyes are sometimes accused of having a piercing stare. No piercings but has several steampunk tattoos on his upper arms, back, side and thigh kept hidden beneath his clothes. Tends to dress casual, typically jeans and tees, with the occasional hat.

Personality:

When working, he can be a bit loud and obnoxious when working a crowd, but is otherwise somewhat keeps to himself, having to feel people out before opening up. Tends to be caring once he does make friends ( vampire or human) and a bit of a smart mouth by times. Does not see himself as superior to humans, and has made more friends among humans than across the vamp community (unintentionally). Prefers synthetic products to the idea of taking a blood doll, though he does see the purpose of choosing them

Background:

Eric Mason began on the deejay circuit three years ago under the moniker DJ. Mr.E after suddenly appearing out of nowheres. His unique mix of favorites and hits offsetting  with his reworked  blend of hip hop and classical standards drawing him high grades amongst the club community for bringing something innovative to the scene. For most on the rave scene, they either love it or hate it, but the haters are generally outvoted. After over four hundred years, Eric merely plays what he likes and does not worry too much about what others think.

Eric rarely talks of his past among his fellow vampires, but he has talked of his mother being killed in his youth during Scotland fighting for independence and of coming to America hidden away in a ship's hold nearly starved  from lack of feed when the passengers began to die from a smallpox outbreak.

Over the centuries, he stayed to the shadows, yet found many things to entertain himself. He was a spy for the Americans against the British during the the battle for independence. He smuggled slaves north before the civil war , justifying himself with the fact that all blood tastes the same, then spent many years as a gambler floating from city to city on his winnings. It was then he first encountered another vampire.

He spent the next seventy years in the company of Katyana, another true blood like Eric, until she was captured and staked by a Prussian hunter Hans Krieg. while they in her homeland outside Prague. Something in Eric snapped after he healed from being wounded as well, and he spent the next fourty years and two world wars hunting the hunters across Eastern Europe, particularly Germany and Austria. He finally caught up with Katyana's killer just before the fall of the Nazis, hidden away at the base of the Alps. Now an old man, the former hunter taunted Eric, but Eric saw through the trap and killed the Krieg's three henchman before doing the unthinkable. He turned the one time hunter, then staked Krieg himself in his front yard before the sun came up.

He returned to the States and for the first time he was lonely. Not for companionship, that was never difficult to obtain, but for the first time he desired to be social. By the sixties, he found his drawing and began to follow the music scene. He had no talent for any of the new sounds instruments and his classical piano was of no use. He took in many concerts and enjoyed the atmosphere. There was always an abundance of food, and he was old enough to control his thirst. He continued to be a hanger on, floating from scene to scene until the emergence of house music.

One night in Miami he accidentally offended a DJ at a club while sitting at the bar. The DJ overheard and challenged Eric to do better. While he knew better, Eric took the challenge and ended up showing the DJ up. A scuffle took place after the show and the DJ ended up in the hospital after Eric had discreetly fed. Eric ended up getting invited back.

Taking the preformance moniker of Mister E, Eric began to travel major cities all over, careful to to become a recognizable name without getting too big. Recently he decided to move again and take up a couple offers to play clubs in the area, starting with Purgatory. At the same time, he has a streaming service that provides preprogrammed arranged tracks  so clubs do not require a DJ.
