Mari'elle de Faust

Name: Mari'elle de Faust
Age: Appears to be in her late 20's, real age unknown
Sex: Female
Species Halfbreed; Fae/Human

Physical Description: Mari stands at the height of 5'2", a petite creature with porcelain skin and bright, vibrant golden irises that, if not to appear innocent and pure, will garner a look that illicits danger in most and the need to be protective of herself. Mari's hair is rather long, dark chestnut brunette waves that cascade down in long tresses that frame her face. Her limbs are strong and muscular despite her size due to her extensive athletic survival lifestyle, her long legs able to run for long distances at a time before becoming fatigued. Mari's face is almost heart-shaped, with a thin nose and a cupid's bow for lips; a rather attractive face for those who do not look down on her kind. Due to her elvish heritage, Mari's ears point slightly, a variation of the human ear with a slight triangle point instead of a curve. Her left ear is pierced twice while her right ear is only pierced once. She also has tribal markings that start at the nape of her neck and snake down along her spine right to her tailbone, a luminescent dark purple color that seems to move and change in shades like scales in certain light.

Abilities:
Mari'elle is an Earth Elemental, descended from Niko'lai de Faust of the Elven Fae. The names of her family (including her own name) was revealed to her through Jarya Olyen, the witch of the forest. Unfortunate to this, Mari has not been able to uncover any more of her history outside of this. Some of her more defined abilities include:
Geokinesis - control, manipulate, create, generate and reshape or shape earth/rocks/stones
Crystallokinesis - manipulate minerals and crystals.
Golem Creation - make golems out of inanimate materials like rocks, wood, plants, magma, etc. (maximum size: 6 ft tall)
Granulation - can turn things into sand.
Psammokinesis - can control and manipulate sand.
Terrakinesis - control, manipulate and alter/reshape the surrounding terrain and landscape at will.
Photosynthesis - encourage/withdraw growth in plants and flora.
Herbacommunication - the ability to communicate with living plants and flora
Vitacommunication - the ability to communicate with various land mammals

Eyes of Truth: As dubbed by Misa Jarya, the Eyes of Truth allow those born with this ability to see through any magic that disguises or hides things. While not often as revealing as many might think, the Eyes of Truth sees through lies and deceit with no problem, and comes as an advantage to Mari both in the forest world and the creature world.

Backstory: When asked, Mari will admit she doesn't remember much of her childhood, since the Mother Earth is all she's ever really known. The trees speak to her, raising her as a child and humming her lullabies to fall asleep to while the flora wake her in the morning so that she can enjoy the day. The vines and shrubs wave a friendly hello to her whenever she turns the corner, whether that is a leisurely walk or a sprint in search of food for the day. She doesn't know humans, because she doesn't look completely as they do, yet she doesn't know Fae for the same reasons. Even so, the Monsters refuse to accept her as well, albeit Mari doesn't seem to really mind that she is not accepted anywhere. She is perfectly happy to live amongst the forest, all of which has become her family. Despite this, she has managed to learn the language through daily observation and careful listening whenever she is daring enough to sneak into the village market to scavenge for food. The Mother Earth generously shares her knowledge of the Earth with her, and often enough her plants will supplement her diet. Occasionally when required or if she is simply craving creature interaction, she will seek out Misa Jarya, the forest witch who is the only creature on two legs that will welcome Mari into her home. She often provides Mari with clothing and company when she visits her in the witch's small hut at the center of the forest, or may sometimes mend her existing wardrobe from time to time.

Jarya has since mentioned to Mari of a new empire not far from where they reside in the forest, encouraging her to seek out solitude here instead of living out her life in the forest. Her little birds have told her that she will be safe there, and Mari intends on setting out in search of this settlement more out of curiosity than necessity. Perhaps she will find a life here, and perhaps she might not. Regardless, she has never been one to back down from an adventure, and this City of Paradise did sound rather lovely.
