Gisela O'Cuinn

Gisela Ó Cuinn is infamous, both on Malus Reliqua and the greater Grimmaria.  Most people know of her, or at least her story.  As the story goes, her mother was a great and beautiful sorceress.  She married a king and turned her stepchildren into swans.  She was defeated by the perseverance of her stepdaughter, Saoirse.  Nothing too exceptional in the story, villains are frequently defeated by heroes and heroines.

What made this story standout, however, is that she was the last to arrive on the island.  While the war had ended twenty-five years ago, Bluma Ó Cuinn only arrived a decade and some change ago.  It wasn't that she'd gone unnoticed.  She had become the first villain since the war.  This put Gisela in a unique position on the island as well - she was the first, and only, child sentenced to life on the island.

Real life, however, seldom lives up to the hype of rumors and stories.  Gi, as Gisela is more commonly known among her few friends, certainly doesn't live up to the infamy.  She isn't much of a trouble maker.  She tends to get in more trouble due to her frequent companion, AJ O'Rourke, than she ever has on her own.  In fact, when not in AJ's company, she usually flies under the radar and keeps to herself.   This may be, in part, due to the fact that her mere existence causes undue hatred amongst people on both sides of the barrier.

Even amongst those who don't realize who she is, she still can't go unnoticed.  Standing at a statuesque five-foot-ten, she towers over most of the girls and many of the men.  She has a slim hourglass figure with long, graceful limbs, and perfect posture.  She's as beautiful as her mother, with long, medium brown hair and eyes that shift between blues and greys based on her mood.  Her skin is fair and blemish-free, and there's usually a smile on her oval face.  She's that jealousy-inducing beauty, with the perfectly straight teeth and perfect features that one would expect of a mainland princess.

Of course, most don't realize that the smile is practiced and seldom reaches her eyes.  Or that her eyes reflect a sad loneliness.  And few see the bruises beneath the tailored, always prim appearance.  In other words, few see her as a person.
