Blade of Sable and Ash (Most call him Sable for short, or Assayu in his human form), like many of his lunar kin, switches between forms at will, though unlike many of his brethren he limits himself typically to two: his original human shape, and his chimeric spirit hybrid form.

As a man, Assayu is a mildly handsome, if somewhat under-baked person of average height with a limited fashion sense that favors utility over form, and a black beard and hair style that just meets the minimum qualification for "mundane". Though his Vahena-inspired clothing often covers the body underneath, a casual glance would be enough to confirm that he is in excellent physical shape: with toned muscles and a lithe build.

In his hybrid form, which combines elements of a rabbit and a leopard, he stands slightly taller than the average man, with iron-taught muscles and a very thin and agile frame. His legs and tail grant him amazing speed, jumping power, and balance, while his thick spotted fur provides additional protection against blows. Of his two forms, this is the one he favors.
