Fall of the Republic
This campaign takes place toward the end of the Republic, shortly after Order 66 and during the Jedi Purge (shortly after Episode III Revenge of the Sith, and before Episode IV A New Hope)
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
Members of the Jedi Council found out from Anakin Skywalker that Chancellor Palpatine was the Dark Lord of the Sith for whom they had been searching. The attempt to arrest the Sith failed as Anakin turned to the Dark Side to learn the secrets of the Sith Lord to protect his wife, Padme Amidala. In so doing, Mace Windu and a group of Jedi Council members were killed by the Sith Chancellor. Palpatine used this attack to claim it was a Jedi coup for control of the government, and branded all Jedi as traitors of the Republic and marked for death. Order 66 was called and the Grand Army of the Republic turned on their Jedi leaders and wiped out nearly all of them within a few days. Now, the remaining Jedi are in hiding or on the run, and Palpatine begins to form his new Empire..
OOC: There is also a fully dramatized audio presentation of this and the Prelude of the main story. This is an optional bonus to present the story in an audiobook format.
