Tobias Winsbury

Captain Tobias Winsbury
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Height: 6'0
Weight: 195
Hair: Auburn
Eyes: Grey
Appearance: Straight-backed and broad shouldered, Tobias cuts a figure like most former officers with a more subtle air of menace. Since leaving the service, Tobias has loosened his standards of grooming, even if slightly. He let's his hair grow a bit on the long-side and skips shaving every few days, giving stubble a chance to grow on his face. Any attempt to seem comfortable or relaxed when in the presence of others seems as though he tries hard to be comfortable; too hard.

Personality: Tobias is a rigid man of discipline, and it shows in every moment that he is awake. From Dawn when he wakes to the late hours to dusk, Captain Winsbury enjoys being coiled up as tight as a viper. That is on business and at home, however.
At play, however, is a totally different man. In London Town, Tobias uncoils and slithers about, plying this way and that through the social circles of the gentry. He knows he has to blend in if he is to stay afloat, and he knows he has to aggressive if he wants to thrive. And to succeed? He has to do it underhandedly. Each word carefully measured and every favor carefully counted.

1788: Tobias Winsbury born September 25, 15 years after the previous child to Baroness Evalyn Winsbury in Allton
1789: Master Stanley Winsbury, the eldest of the three children goes to London for the season for his first time. Baron Robert Winsbury and Oliver, the middle child join him. The baroness and Tobias remain in Allton.
1790: Stanley goes to Cambridge, Oliver goes to London to live the rest of the year as he prepares for Oxford.
1791: Stanley becomes close to a young mistress of unknown breeding and keeps it a secret. Oliver goes Oxford to begin his education.
1794: Stanley returns to Allton unannounced while the family is away, having abandoned his studies returning with his would be fiance`, a Miss Estella Whittman. Seeking to get married on Christmas, he wanted to do so before any formal protest could be mounted. The vicar, an older fellow, refused to accommodate the young Master without his father's approval. Stanley struck him in unconscious.
Stanely flees with Miss Whittman not to be seen for a long time. The vicar is found laying on the floor unmoving, but breathing, in the church the next morning. Though considered unexplained, rumor of the lower classes that know better whisper rumors of what may have happened, putting two and tow together (mostly).
1796: Oliver returns to Allton to become Deacon and then assistant under the new Vicar as he finishes his studies and begins his residency. Nothing much is said of Stanley, while the more scandalous nature of his distance is still kept from the upper levels. Oliver happens to overhear two servants discussing the nature of the above incident and realizes that most of the news about Stanley are false letters or manufactured tales.
1800: Oliver moves to the neighboring Epshot to be Vicar there. Before moving, he grants some of his inheritance in name under the care of the vicar at Allton, unable to truly be satisfied with it's safety should Stanley seek to return.
1803: Oliver visits with the family every chance he is able. There is less to hear about Stanley, though the stories remain consistent if vague.
1805: As his birthday is to come after the end of the season, Master Tobias Winsbury provided escort for his mother in social gatherings while His father was one business. As an Early birthday present, Baron Winsbury, with the aid of his good friend Major Harrington, gifts his youngest son with the commission of Lieutenant in the King's Army.
1806: Lieutenant Tobias Winsbury goes to Sandhurst.
1807: Lieutenant Winsbury is deployed at the Second Battle of Copenhagen. He fights in the Battle of Køge. There he goes MIA, presumed dead.
1810: Baron Winsbury passes away in his sleep. Baroness Winsbury dies soon after of mourning and loneliness. Stanley returns upon the death of his parents, looking nothing at all like many had envisioned, in fact worse for wear. Oliver likewise returns to give service for his parents. Stanley assumes the title of Baron of Winsbury as rightful heir. Stanley attempts to liquidate all assets both in Allton and surrounding areas as well as other holds in London and elsewhere in England. Most of what remains of the estate is entailed or belongs to the vicarage. Oliver and Stanley bicker over the inheritance. Stanley leaves without further incident. He is Last seen on a ship to the America's
1813: Rumor drifts in of a Captain Winsbury arriving in London from France, holding the esteem and backing of a retired Major Harrington and now Viscount Cathcart
