Jaerin Mistwalker

Jaerin often appears to be one of the spirits he traffics with. His body from head to toe seems to be almost entirely covered by a cloak of silvery gray liquid that seems to constantly flow like a gentle stream. Swirling around the stream are patches of incorporeality that slowly shift from place to place. The only exceptions to this ghostly appearance are the violet mist surrounding his hands, a feathery belt the color of flame that pulses softly like the embers of a dying fire, and a small ivory horn glowing with a soft blue-white light at his forehead. What skin is visible appears pearly white, shifts slightly as though insubstantial, and pulses with inner life. A wolf head mask covers his face and golden armor adorns his body, both translucent, with soft, translucent feathery wings falling about his back.

Best known among the learned for the Sages Guild he founded, Jaerin has dedicated his life to gathering knowledge of all that was lost. Planes, worlds, people, creatures, he believes none deserved the fate visited upon them by the Ancients of the Mists. While he may not be able to bring them back, he can at least recover their memory. He spends his days traveling, seeking out ancient ruins and lost lore and is rarely seen without his great tome in hand.

In his great travels, he often spares time for the common man. Among them, he is considered a spiritualist, as he often comforts the dying and speaks to the dead and departed. The commoners tend to recognize him better for this service than his work as a sage. While he is rarely sought out, he is equally rarely turned away. Since none know what lies on the other side of death any more, what comfort he can offer is always welcome to the dying and their families, and he offers it without hesitation to all regardless of station or rank.
