Sir Perin is the oldest (and only) son of the late Sir Rumbolt.  He is young, at only 21 years of age and newly knighted due to his actions on the field of battle.  His large size and strength suggest a Saxon heritage (he's half, on his mother's side), which has earned him few friends at court.  Because of this, he's often quite reserved in the company of others.  However despite his rough exterior, he's surprisingly learned, being quite the voracious reader.
