Fast Character
Evelyn
A CRAVEN ADEPT OF STEALTH WHO INFILTRATES IN THE FAR FUTURE AMONG STARS AND SPACE
You hang on to the memories of who you once were. People you meet seem put off by the strange birthmark on your face. That's just how things were, back then.

You focus on subtlety, guile, and stealth. Your body has been trained to make you the perfect infiltrator. You use a wide variety of disguises and tools to perform your duties, but your greatest tools are your own skills and training.

There's more to you than just that. Courage fails you at every turn. You lack the willpower and resolve to stand fast in the face of danger. Fear gnaws at your heart, chewing away at your mind, driving you to distraction until you cannot bear it. Most times, you back down from confrontations. You flee from threats and vacillate when faced with difficult decisions. However, listening to your fears has helped you escape danger and avoid taking unnecessary risks. Others may have suffered in your place, and you might be the first to admit this fact, but secretly you feel intense relief from having avoided an unthinkable and terrible fate.

You've recently been drawn into an unusual situation with a group of people (the other PCs in this adventure). One of the other PCs bullied you into coming along. You have a particular connection to the character of the player sitting on your right. No matter how hard you try, you cannot seem to hide from him.

Skill: You're trained in running actions.

Skill: You're trained in any action taken to escape danger, flee from a dangerous situation, or wheedle your way out of trouble. Inability: You do not willingly enter dangerous situations. The difficulty of any initiative actions (to determine who goes first in combat) is increased by one step.

Inability: You fall to pieces when you have to undertake a dangerous task alone. The difficulty of any potentially dangerous task you undertake alone (such as attacking a creature by yourself) is increased by one step.

Adept of Stealth (type abilities, p. 29, 51)
Erase Memories (2 Intellect points): You reach into the mind of a creature within immediate range and make an Intellect roll. On a success, you erase up to the last five minutes of its memory. Action required to use.

Fleet of Foot: If you succeed at a difficulty 2 Speed roll to run, you can move a short distance and take an action in the same round.

Legerdemain (1 Speed point): You can perform small but seemingly impossible tricks. For example, you can make a small object in your hands disappear and move into a desired spot within reach (like your pocket). You can make someone believe that he has something in his possession that he does not have (or vice versa). You can switch similar objects right in front of someone's eyes. Action required to use.

Opportunist: You have an asset on any attack roll you make against a creature that has already been attacked at some point during the round and is within immediate range.

Infiltrates (focus abilities, p. 138)
Stealth. You are lithe and quiet. You know how to alter your position, your stance, and your clothing to best suit your surroundings. All this combines to give you an asset for stealth-related tasks.

Sense Attitudes. You are trained in sensing lies and whether a person is likely to (or already does) believe your lies.

Minor Effect (natural roll of 19): Your opponent is so startled by your moves that it is dazed, during which time the difficulty of all tasks it performs is increased by one step.

Major Effect (natural roll of 20): All opponents within short range are so startled by your moves that they are dazed, during which time the difficulty of all tasks they perform is increased by one step.

Equipment (p. 253)
