Samuel Garcia

Sam is in his early to mid-twenties, has a naturally tanned skin and clearly has some kind of Latino origin. He is fit, strong and healthy, and of decent intelligence, though doesn’t seem to have had a lot of schooling. He usually speaks in a well-practiced neutral tone but occasionally when tired or when losing his cool, he slips into a strong New York Bronx accent.

Sam comes across as an affable guy, everyone’s friend. A fact he uses to his advantage. It’s not that he doesn’t care about other people, it’s just that buried somewhere behind his eyes the part of him that has his reptile brain is always working out what angle best helps him. He can hold his liquor pretty well and can be the life of the party when he wants to and tends to walk around with an unlit cigarette dangling from his lips.

He openly admits to being a Lance Corporal in the USMC, and to having been captured in the disastrous attack on Primorsko in Bulgaria in July 1997, and to being held in the POW camp at Kryvyi Rih, but doesn’t give much else away.

If he’s drunk he might show the scars he gained during 3 failed escape attempts (razor-wire cut scars on his hands and legs, rifle butt beating scars around his scalp, and a bullet scar on his back). He might also show-off doing stupid stunts which show he is clearly very athletic and can climb most things with a chimp-like grace that makes it look easy.

He won’t, however, under any circumstances discuss the stab-wound scar on his chest, and almost never speaks about his life before the war, preferring to change the subject.
