Niq-Nur (unique light in her language) comes from the Scorched Veldt.  She has olive skin, black hair and black almond shaped eyes.  Then again, she often wears hood and veil as is the wont of desert dwellers on account of all the sand and ashes.

She has come to the City of Terrors in order to seek her fortune among slightly less moralistic people who are less keen to amputate her hands (a fate she would prefer to avoid).
