Roland appears Human, stands right at 2 meters tall with brown hair, a well manicured beard and impossibly blue eyes.  His skin is pale and contrasts his his otherwise dark hair and rugged look.  He always has a friendly smile, especially for children and those less fortunate.

His primary visible armaments are a sword wrapped in silk crossed by a long rifle under a shield. Additionally he carries a shotgun-axe on a sling and twin pistols on holsters.  The rig is set up so that he can access any of the items with minimal difficulty.
