Status: Currently recovering from serious wounds after a mission. Bruises everywhere, broken arm now in a cast, f*****d up ribs. Fun. Still active around the island but not going out on missions anytime soon.


Personality:
Ariel grew up. She's no longer that innocent 18 years old girl who moved to the States to attend a school for mutants nor is she the young woman constantly struggling with control of her emotions and powers, living in constant fear of the day she would ultimately falter and the Phoenix would take over her.

She is confident, sure of herself and what she can do but not afraid to admit when something is beyond her or afraid to ask for help if needed. And while Ariel might not wear her heart on a sleeve the way she used to all those years ago her undying loyalty to her friends and her willingness to leave pretty much anything behind whenever someone needs her are still as strong as ever.


Appearance:
Ariel stands at around 5.5 feet tall, not a bad height but sometimes she wishes she'd be a bit taller and weighs approximately 125 pounds. Has long black hair reaching down past her shoulders that is usually worn tied into a ponytail with a few loose strands over her face or tucked behind an ear or loose if she's not working. Kinda plain brown eyes usually behind a pair of thin-framed glasses or contact lenses when she's working out.


Other Information:
Hobbies: Listening to music, hanging out with friends, travel.
Likes: Flying!, long hot showers, winter/cold.
Dislikes: Summer. Evil telepaths.
Sexual orientation: Straight... as long as you don't count that one special woman...
Love life: One boyfriend tried to kill her and another resents and hates her. Single and in absolutely no rush to change that.


Stance on her codename
Ariel doesn't feel comfortable being called "Phoenix". To her that's Jean Grey's legacy regardless of whom the current host of the Phoenix Force is but Ariel does recognize the deterring power it has and just the off chance that allies and enemies alike might careful consider any action against Haven while she's around is worth swallowing her feelings and keeping the name.
