Power: Heather channels Cosmic energy of some sort which manifests as a coruscating nimbus of blue-white energy. When she draws on her power her eyes turn a blue-white colour and she is surrounded by a field of energy that looks like a hawk with vast wings, hence the name. She is able to surround herself with a very powerful force field. She generates powerful concussive blasts from her fists which she can form into a variety of effects such as small, rapidly repeating bursts all the way up to massive blasts of intense energy. She can generate beams from her eyes with much greater precision, using them like a laser. She is, however, not able to do all at once without tiring herself out rather quickly. Flight is her main ability and the one she is strongest with at this point and is able to use as often as she wants. So far she has tested herself against the kinds of speeds achieved by combat jets but flying that fast does limit how much she can fly as it consumes a great deal of energy. Her force field is powerful for short periods but extended use will wear her down and lower the strength of the field. Her offensive abilities are rather well developed and she can generate blasts or use the more precise beams from her eyes quite readily but the more power she invests in the attack the more rapidly she tires herself. She knows her ability to use all three in tandem and at greater levels will increase which drives a certain level of impatience but she is dedicated to her studies.

Personality:Heather has days in which her moods vary. Sometimes she feels like a prisoner and other times like a student. She has yet to test the guards to see what happens if she decides on a nice, long flight back to the mainland. Generally she is friendly and outgoing and loves helping others in their studies and practice because she knows her force field can absorb immense energy (sadly she is wide open to psionics). On other days she is moody and prefers to be by herself. On those days she tends to stay in her room and listen to, and play, black and death metal songs on her guitar.

Physical Description: Heather is a trim 5'6", 128 lbs. with black hair and dark skin thanks to her background. Her mother is a doctor from Nigeria and her father a Norwegian geneticist. She has dark blue eyes. She moves very gracefully thanks to her background in dance and gymnastics. Sadly for all her power she can't throw a punch to save her life so she would love to learn unarmed fighting methods.

Background: Heather was born 18 years ago in Kingston Upon Hull and attended Primary School in Kirk Ella. Despite her background she speaks a crisp RP so sharp you can draw blood with it as opposed to the local Yorkshire dialect. Her mother pushed her daughter hard wanting her to go into the medical field with her parents so in addition to tutors she took dance, gymnastics, vocal, piano, and guitar lessons. She finished her A levels early, obtaining 5 A* levels and earning her a spot in Cambridge.

And then disaster struck: her X-gene manifested rather spectacularly at 16 (her powers are anything but subtle) and suddenly Uni was out of the question. Mutants were too mistrusted still so her parents have kept her at home whilst trying to figure out where to place her 'for her own safety.'

Needless to say Heather is most upset at this turn of events and alternates hating and loving her family and life.

Other Information

Hobbies: Dancing, gymnastics, piano, guitar, violin, singing, reading and writing.

Likes: Friendly people she can trust and talk with. People who share her interests and people who want to make a difference one day.

Dislikes: Bullies. She hates bullies and goes out of her way to stick up for the less powerful members of the island.

Sexual Orientation: She thinks of herself as straight but she has been attracted to women so she can be considered bi-curious.

Relationship With Family: Tense, strained. Some days she's happy to talk with them and other days she wants to cut them out of her life completely. Despite this she does enjoy the money and gifts she gets from home and has given some of the clothing away to less fortunate inhabitants.

With Friends: Open and warm or moody. It depends on the day but once she knows she can trust someone they have a true friend for life. People never betray her trust more than once as she cuts them out of her life completely.

Any Other Information: One of her prized possessions is her BC Rich Warlock, jet black with glowing green strings. The strings need frequent replacement but she gets then when she needs to. She changed out the studio pickups for a PATB-2 Parallel Axis Distortion and loves her guitar. Anyone touching it without permission is liable to get something thrown at then once they set it down.
