Zandar is a human of Varisian gypsy descent, easily noticed from his features and olive skin. His hair is midnight black, and hangs down to about his shoulders, though it's usually tied or held back. His eyes are also black in color, though there seem to be flecks of red swimming in them if you look close enough. He stands a few inches shy of six feet in height, with a build that is more graceful and skinny than muscled. There are many tattoos adorning his body as well, in various colors, styles and locations. He wears very colorful clothing, sometimes complimentary colorations, sometimes clashing on purpose. He wears armor consisting of a light breastplate and shoulder guards made from lacquered leather plates bound together and fitted over a silk shirt.

As much as the man likes to talk, very little is really known about Zandar, other than that he IS actually Varisian in ethnicity, though the information seems to contradict whether he is from one of the large traveling gypsy clans or lived in a city or both. He appears to be in his mid-twenties. From the drops and drips here and there, it sounds as if he has traveled quite a bit, and has worked either as a bouncer in a large tavern or as a pit fighter there....or both. He seems to have the grace of a dancer or a fighter.

Most people don't notice that only briefly interact with him, but if you've traveled with him enough, you would likely notice that his shadow....doesn't mirror his movements always. Sometimes, it seems to move of its own accord, making movement that he is not making, or not appearing to be shaped like he is. It's a very disturbing sight.

Something that might be noticed also is that he does have a carrying case for a deck of Harrow cards, and he seems to do a Harrow reading for himself every morning with the beautiful handcrafted cards from within it. Strangely, he often seems annoyed when he digs the case out and shuffles the cards, like he doesn't actually want to do the reading.

He appears to be a bit of a flirt.
