Ryu is an epicene young fop of a sort common to the pleasure districts of the capital. Who knows (who realty wants to know) what he does for all the coin he spends at night, but when he comes around, he spends heavily in the company of the fawning creatures of the floating world.

While often aloof, he is sure of himself and seems to fear no one. Perhaps he is only the bored son some of a well placed lord, who at least has the sense to be discrete with his dalliance.  Whenever he is about, he wears a broad hat or covers his head with a cowl.  His sword is always close.
