Name: Virulina
Origin: Canon
Stereotype: Token bad girl... looking for a series upgrade.
Series: Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light.
Arc: End of Season 1 (there were no more seasons afterwards).
World: Prysmos.

Personality: Virulina is a mean one for sure, but she certainly makes being bad... seem like a whole lot of fun.  She's very bold (assertive), arrogant (confident), sly (sensible), and ambitious (career focused).  Like the Totem of her namesake, when Virulina 'smells blood in the water'... she is dogged in her determination.  Nonetheless, she has grown a lot from the Newscaster she used to be (back before the Fall of civilization).  Virulina barely bats an eye at Merklynn's 'quests' anymore, although if her 'Liege' would stop fouling things up... maybe she'd have more to show for it.  Her discontent is well known, but until she can put forward more than acidic 'putdowns', Virulina's lot in life is to keep suffering fools.  She is however biding her time until a shot at true power comes her way.




Appearance:  A regal lady in her late 20's, Virulina has pale skin and long, silky black hair.  Her demeanor is proud and sarcastic, but malice and glee lurk behind her cultured facade, waiting to emerge when the time is right.  Despite her less than tall statue, there is plenty of strength and fortitude to go around... Virulina is at her physical peak.  She is often clad in her Darkling armor, a suit of banded components decorated in a black/purple color scheme, topped with a shark hologram on her chest plate.  Should she ever travel incognito, Virulina would wear a cloak... but so far has only done so on a handful of occasions.

Gimmick: Visionary - Knights imbued with Merklynn's power have the following gifts;
1) All Knights: the ability to transform into a Totem Animal (this requires no words or gestures).
2) All Knights: access to Power Staves (banners) that contain a powerful one use spell (which requires a rhyming incantation and recharging afterwards).
3) Some Knights: the ability to imbue ground/air vehicles with magic enough to operate them.

Powers: In her shark Totem form, Virulina appears as a green hued predator of the deep.  She has the speed and strength of a shark... and can survive underwater while she holds its form.


Skills/Techniques: Virulina has martial fighting skills, aerial pilot skills, great swimming ability, & is good with disguises.

Equipment: 1) Darkling Armor... a lightweight suit of metal alloys that protect against trauma and allow athletic activities (such as swimming, acrobatics, etc).  2)  Duel Bladed Scythe... a swift melee weapon with a pointed tip & slashing sickle blade, useful for parrying and dispatching foes.

Advantages:  1) Temptress 101:  Virulina is adept at using her looks to gain advantage and her charming voice to deceive.
2) Brave:  Virulina isn't afraid to stand up for herself and regularly faces down her foes with steely resolution.
3) Diploma of Deviousness:  Ambushing, feinting, stealth, & dirty tricks are child's play for Virulina.

Weaknesses: 1)  A Fish Out of Water:  With her Totem being an aquatic animal, its almost unusable on land.
2) Its All About Me:  Virulina always looks out for herself and it can make her predictable.
3) Life is Cruel And So Am I:  Virulina always returns a slight against her (with interest) and believes in making her foes suffer... which isn't always the most convenient (or wisest) course of action.
