Mackenzie Lombard

Name: Mackenzie Lombard

Nickname: Mac, Crazypants and many other much less nice things

Gender: Female

Age: 23

Sexual Preferences: Pansexual, but usually shows a preference for males.

Employment: Mac has never had a stable job in her life. Everyone that she has tried never seemed to last long due to her either not showing up or getting distracted while at work when she's off her meds (which lets be honest, thats most days lately). Thankfully her brother lets her help out sometimes at his bakery.

Hair: Blonde and disheveled

Eyes: Large and brown

Distinguishing Marks: A perpetually lost, confused, and disheveled look

General Appearance: When one first looks at Mac, they can almost immediately get the feeling that some isn't quite right with her, but without knowing her better its almost impossible to place what that is. It could be drugs, its could be lack of sleep, or it could be something not quite right in her mind, but often its a mix of all of the above.

She stands at an average height of 5' 6", not having received the tall gene like her brother did, but is a bit on the thinner size weight around 105 on most days. Throughout her entire life she has been on the thinner side, but now she's even scrawnier than she had been in the bast to do a tendency to forget to eat or be too distracted to do so. Because of her weight, her frame is lacking when it comes to curves, but she still has enough to appear feminine.

Her hair is blonde and messy, falling to just past her shoulders. No matter how much she brushes it there always are some parts that just never do what she wants them too so she usually just gives up on trying, giving her a perpetually disheveled look. She's a pretty girl when she tried but not in a way that many people would ever call hot. Her brown eyes are large and round, typically filled with a vacant look, almost like she sees something that no one else can, which usually is the case. She has soft features, but her front teeth are a little larger than normal which is made more obvious with the slightly agape look typically on her face.

As far as her clothes and make up, there is no one way to really describe Mac's style. Typically she just wears whatever she grabs out of her closet that more, but somehow they always seem to match.

Personality: Mac's personality is a bit hard to nail down as she often has some unknown or unseen thing haunting her. She reacts to things that no one else can see and can sometimes be a bit paranoid. Even with these things though, she is almost always in a good mood and its quite easy to make her smile or laugh.

Many people have had the tendency to think that because of how she acts that she's not quite intelligent, but thats far from the case. When focused and properly medicated, Mac is an incredibly smart girl and got good grades all through school.

Hew personality varies widely however depending on if she has been taking her medications regularly or not. When she is, her thoughts tend to be much more put together, she is less easily distracted, and seems like an almost normal girl.

When not on her medications (which is more often than she is) she can often be found getting distracted and staring off into space or bouncing around from topic to topic making her very difficult to follow. Once you get to know her better though she can be a bit easier to follow. Sometimes she relies on the people closest to her to help remind her whats real and what isn't.

About Your character: Mackenzie had a pretty normal childhood, well that is if you don't count the fact that her mother and baby sister died when she was only 3 years old and so she was raised by her kooky stern grandmother and her older brother.  She had always been a bit more interested in the magical side of things than her brother had been growing up, but she never fully understood what was going on with it since she was so young.

Up until her 10th birthday Mac seemed like a normal girl, happy-go-lucky, friendly and always doing well in school, she never even had an imaginary friend as a little kid. But once the clocked struck midnight on her birthday, things started going....strangely. At the exact moment that the clock turned from 11:59 pm to 12:00 am, she woke from a deep sleep and sat bolt-upright in bed with a terrified look on her face. She had been having a nightmare and wouldn't find out until a few years later that her nightmare hadn't been just that, it was something more, a peek into the future. Afraid of what she had seen she raced out of bed and down the hall to her brother's room, knowing that there was no way she could wake their grandmother up this late it night and knowing that Michael would be able to comfort her. He always could and always would be able to.

Similar events continued to happen almost weekly to the point that Mac couldn't sleep with out being afraid of what she might see. Typically the dreams were full of death which is not good on a 10 year old girls mind. Her and Michael tried to hide what was going on from their grandmother but even tally she found out and believed that what Mac thought was a cure was actually a blessing. She tried to get her to tap into it and learn more about these foresights and premonitions. She made Mac drink all sorts of potions to try and find out more and make her abilities stronger. Which is exactly what happened.

Instead of the visions only coming to her at night, Mac began to experience during the day time. They were never as vivid as the ones that came in her dreams, but she would see bits and fragments of the future intermingled with what was happening in the present.

She was 11 years old when she was institutionalized for the first time and to this day blames that pattern that she fell into on her grandmother.

While in the facility, Mac tried to explain to the doctors what was happening with her, but no one believed her. She was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was locked up in there for almost 8 months while they tried to find out how to get her to cope with reality and distinguish between wheat was real and what wasn't.

She was 12 years old when she finally got out and instead of going back to live with her grandmother, Michael gained custody of his little sister and took her into his care now that he had moved out of the house they had grown up in.

After that point things seemed to go great. Mac did well in school, she had some great friends and most importantly, she stayed on her medications which caused the visions to go away.

That is, until Mackenzie and Michael moved to Stillwater when she was 18. After that...even the meds couldn't help keep them all at bay.

The premonitions started coming back to her at night in her dreams, but only in vague pieces. What she saw made her want to know more and unknown to her she stopped talking her meds all together, causing the visions to come back stronger than ever.

It didn't take long for people to find out that she had fallen off the wagon though. Mac had been walking down the center of the road and walked out in front of a car without watching where she was going. Thankfully she wasn't hit, but when police asked what she was doing, she simply said "The rabbit was showing me the way." Thus began her second visit to the psych ward.

Over and over things like this seemed to happen, it was like Stillwater had an stronger effect on her mind than anywhere she had ever been before. But overtime she got better and was released, she would stop taking her medications again, and every time there was that same rabbit that was leading her somewhere.

Finally, she followed that rabbit to its destination, a place that had been plaguing her dreams for years, calling to her, becoming her to walk through its door. So she did.
