Valerius is a human in his early twenties with dark red hair, fair skin and
blues eyes. Relatively tall and rather handsome, his physical stature is
rather below average.

When travelling, Valerius can usually be seen dressed in a thick brown monk's
robe, made in a very basic woolen fabric but that seems to do the job.
He carries a belt holding multiple pockets. A red leather bag hangs from his right shoulder and contains a book protected by a sturdy green leather cover that he reads frequently. Anyone staring at the book would see a golden cross upon it.
Another bag, in white fabric, hangs from his left shoulder and contains
a booklet, an ink flask and several feathers. It is not rare to see him stop
and take notes in this booklet.

Generally cautious or wary when meeting someone for the first time, Valerius
is keen to understand the world and in particular when it involves  the "old ways", religion or history. He took a Roman name when he was ordained but Valerius was a local boy though from another village. He is known to be kind to the desuetude and children. he takes up alms for the poor and is usually well liked.
