Physical Description:

Tate is a quiet girl who is usually found sitting in a chair sewing, mending, or taking care of Rowena's things.  Fair skinned with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a pink tinge to her cheeks she is pretty, though no doubt a servant.

She dresses in soft cotton dresses that are befitting her task but even these, have practice stitches around the hem and arms.

Personality:
Tatswiþ  is a meek girl.  Having been raised in the kitchens and then brought up to Rowena's chambers to serve as her Lady's Maid, Tate is generally nervous about anyone except the servants and Rowena.  To them she is lively with a good sense of humor.  To those above her in the castle she is appropriately demure.

She generally prefers to hide in the shadows, behind curtains, away from the machinations of the gentry.  She throws herself into her sewing and gown making, finding the right fit and the right color.  Rowena has been a good mistress, thus she feels a severe loyalty to her.

Biography:
Tate was less of an employ and more of a discovery.  Rowena's keen eye discovered the young maid as she was helping her mother in the kitchen.  The girls hand with a needle is fine and she is adept with working with the delicate fabrics that make up Lady Rowena's dresses.  She expertly beads trims and adorns dresses with furs and gems with delicate little stitches that make her Lady shine at court.
