Born into a family of farmers and hunters. She was the youngest of two children. Her older brother died at age 8 of pneumonia, leaving her the last chance of her family carrying on the family’s trade. She was taught to hunt at an early age and has since become fairly good at it. To make ends meet, her father decided to open shop as a butcher.

While tensions have increased with the Saxons, tensions have increased in the Pihl household as well. Her father insists on keeping neutrality for the sake of the business and their lives but Yrsa can’t ignore the way they are treated. Her blade sharpens with every visit by a Saxon.

Yrsa is an impressive young huntress and butcher but she has a short temper and is quite stubborn. She has a sharp tongue but keeps quiet as she means to be respectful to her elders and her fathers customers. She keeps her ear to the ground when it comes to the comings and goings of her people but speaks of her thoughts little. Not many around her want to discuss things openly so she minds the family farm, hunts and does as her father says to keep the business going.
