Disposition: Lameck is more of a go-getter, and thinks more about the future than his average countryman, who are too often caught up in the here and now without a mind for tomorrow.  However, compared to many other ethnicities, Lameck is quite laid back and relatively easy going.  This translates to a cool, calm demeanor in the cockpit whether as a Wizzo, his usual billet, or occasionally as a pilot, where he's rated, but by no means clamoring for a spot.  Many might mistake him for Jamaican, but he is proud to be a Zambian, and one of the few representing in the UN Spacy program.  He won't be shy to tell you how he sees things, but by no means is he stubborn.  In fact, he is a learner, as a good teacher is always learning is what he believes, and does his best to have an open mind and learn as much about the world and others as he can.

Rumor has it that Lameck is...

Brief Background:
Lameck comes from a well-to-do family in Lusaka, whose father is a Colonel in the Air Force and had investments in the copper mining in the northern Copperbelt.  He was born during a tumultuous time of coups and the Global Civil War, but growing up he still had access to some of the best education, attending the International School of Lusaka, but often sheltered sons rebel against their fathers, and so he had some disciplinary trouble.  His family's solution was to send him away to Military Prep school in the UK (Zambia is a former British colony) for his high school years.  It straightened him out alright, because he was scared shitless - beatings for insubordination, and sometimes even abuse did occur, but like the others he kept quiet.  The world seem to calm down when he was away at prep school, with a meteor striking in the Pacific.  It didn't take long though with the AUL terrorism striking throughout the world including in London where Lameck went to school.  When it came time to go to Uni, he opted for a civilian college back in Zambia, at the University of Zambia (UNZA) in Lusaka.  Oddly enough, and of course at his parents' behest he enrolled in the ROTC program.  His experience there was much more pleasant, but he still thought he would become a Secondary School History Teacher.  His father of course had other designs for their only son.  His father allowed him to attend a regular university, but when graduation came he was off to Officer's Candidate School for the Zambian Air Force.  Lameck played the game, in hopes that one day he would get out of the Air Force, and be a teacher.  His country sorely needed teachers, good teachers, to bring up the overall education of Zambians as he believed in the Many People, One Nation ideal.  Due to close relations with the U.S., U.K., and the Dutch, but also heavy interest from the Chinese, brings Zambia into the UN Spacy.  Lameck is one of the first "volunteers" to be drafted as a Zambian representative in the UN Spacy.  Lameck has not given up on his dream, but he does understand the importance of this unified military in the grand scheme of things, and so does his duty and bides his time.  And then, of course the alien invasion and the disastrous space fold at Macross Island really put his life's plans on hold.

Call Sign: "Vinyl"
His initials are L.P., another name for old records.  And he's black like a typical vinyl record (no one said the military was very PC, at least down in the trenches)... so its "Vinyl"...until someone changes it.
