Robotech Re-imagined: The Macross Saga (Palladium)

This game begins on the day of the SDF-1's launch ceremony and will follow the story of the vessel throughout the First Robotech War. Player characters will be the brave veritech pilots who will end up defending the vessel during its journey back to earth. I will be incorporating some elements of Macross in this game. One example is that I will be using the Japanese name for some characters (but not all) instead of their English names. I have also killed off Rick and Minmei during the space fold to Pluto. This was done so that the player characters can possibly take their place (yeah get in line of you want to be Miss Macross as it seems some players are aiming for that goal). Player characters will also have a chance to "re-write" history or create a "new history" throughout the game.

The Palladium Books game system will be used, but I have made more than a few changes, so after being given access to the game, please read over the house rules before making a decision to play.

As the name says elements of this game are re-imagined. This game also follows a naturalistic approach to science fiction, and thus there is little if no anime elements (especially the immature stuff) within it. This is one of the reasons Rick and Minmei died during the space fold, Ricks little red fan jet was not space worthy and as such the occupants died once exposed to the vacuum of space.

As a player you should keep in mind that I consider the anime to be a dramatized retelling of the Robotech wars. Anyone who has watched a movie/series based on historical fact (such as Band of Brothers) knows that some elements are embellished while other facts are degraded or ignored.

I have utilized some material from the following sources, but they are just sources/inspiration. Don't go to these websites and think what is written there applies to my Robotech universe.

As the GM I see my primary role in this game is to create an environment where the players can be creative. Recommendations and constructive criticism by players is encouraged and will be thoroughly considered. Please don't decide that my game sucks and just quit. Tell me why it sucks and what I can do to make it better. Please don't be afraid to question my rulings in a private message if you think I have been unfair, inconsiderate, or generally ignorant. Also, if you feel the need to question a ruling in the OOC thread by all means do so. I won’t ban you from the game just because you post a disagreement in the OOC thread, or be very critical of me in a PM. In fact, only time I have banned players is because they refused to interact with another player’s character in game.
