Vin the Betrayer

Vin has cold blueish tinted skin, white beard, and no hair upon his head. He's rather tall and well-built compared to most other dwarves. He wears very heavy and uncomfortable-looking stone-carved lamellar armor and carries a heavy shield and mace. All his gear is very well made, even by dwarven standards.

Carved upon his head is a strange sigil: a gear with an open eye in the center. It radiates faint magic.

Vin's voice is cold and dispassionate, much like the rest of his people's. Nuance, comfort and aesthetics are not things well-valued by the druegar. On the other hand, he rarely looks particularly upset or animated by anything, even in the thick of combat. Only the voice of his god is enough to rouse his anger.

The Obvious: Vin is a druegar, the deep-dwelling equivalent of the more common "surface dwarf". It's unlikely a typical surface dweller had even hard of them. Unlike their neighbours the drow, they typically don't make a lot of excursions above. However, like the drow, their society is quite cruel. Dwarves are probably familiar with his kind, with whom there is no treaty and no quarter expected or given. The druegar will take slaves and captures from most races, but surface dwarves are killed.
