River is the precocious daughter of Syriel, therefore grand-daughter of Morganthe and Random. Her true father is unknown, but she has clearly inherited powers few understand. Outwardly she is bubbly and curious, but she is also wilful and does not take kindly to those who would deny her anything she desires. She has long dark wavy hair that kinks when it dries. She has her mother's blue eyes and full lips. By any standards she has grown into a beautiful young woman.
