Cado is Master of the Knights of the Rose, the first and most prestigious order of knighthood in Avalon.  When not attending to his duties, he may be seen on the back of his might eagle, Aurelius, patrolling the land of Avalon.  Or he may be elsewhere, in Shadow.

The question he most dreads from his knights:.  Do you think your sister will like my poem?

Cador isn’t usually surrounded by adoring groupies Ladies of the Court, but some years ago he was getting close to the gorgeously blonde Lady Alyssande, a ward of the DuLacs.  Then Branwen did her vanishing act, and Cador was suddenly sent out to search, riding Aurelius.

When he got back - months later - Alyssande was married to Edmund DuLac, from a cadet branch of that family and absent from the court - in her ancestral lands in Nolava.  Corwin insisted that Cador stay in Camelot, taking the position of Master of the Knights of the Rose, which kept him busy for months more..  Alyssande has visited court since then - with her husband.  Cador has spoken to her once, about 2 years ago, a strained conversation where she claimed to be happy..  But there have been glances that hinted otherwise and, as yet, the couple have no children (which is starting to lead to rumours that All is Not Well with the marriage)
