Physical Description:
Ella is a rather short mixed-race woman. She often is wearing loose fitting clothing and her range of fashion ranges from European, African, Asian and obscure. She is athletically fit, but not visibly muscular. Although her muscles are well-developed and firm to the touch. Her hair is styled to her mid-back, and is kept in twists or styled loosely in thick voluminous tight waves. She does wear it up when she needs to focus, or sleep. She often carries around pennies in her pockets or purse, as a coping and calming mechanism.

Personality:
Ella has a thunderous personality loud, inpatient and brooding. But she can be quite caring and empathetic towards people, especially children and women, almost to the extent of putting herself in harms way. She will stand up for others, but will let hard-headed people make mistakes so they will learn from them and find their own path. If someone asks her for help, she will mostly always say yes. She is curious about the world and seeks out information with an insatiable hunger. She does not believe in rumors, only facts. Although Ella has a scared face, she doesnt let that affect her self-esteem for the most part, but when people point it out with blatant disgust, it does hurt her just a bit.
Strengths:
Ella is caring, and empathetic. She will help others even when she doesnt want to.
Weaknesses:
She is prone to anger way too easily, and lets that anger cloud her judgement (will punch face and then ask questions later). She can also be cynical to the point of pointing out the negatives in any situation. She doesnt have much hope for the future in general, and can be a downer. Because of this she prefers to have few friends and acquaintances. Strong allergic reactions to pumpkin and other gourds.

Mundane Skills:
Ella is a hobbyist poet, so she is able to convey feelings through written text with relatively good accuracy. As a psychiatrist she is able to guide and aid people who have lost hope, despite herself being cynical. She is not a trained fighter, but has natural strength, agility, quick reflexes, and is able to channel her wrath into a fight.
Powers:
Storm Manipulation: as a daughter of Oya, Ella is able to manipulate the weather to create lightning, winds, and rain. Her power only affects the immediate area, about a football fields area size.
Spirit Communication: Ella also has the ability to see and speak to those caught in between life and death (e.g. ghosts).
Strength: Ella as a daughter of Oya, also known as a warrior goddess. She has superior strength to humans. She is able to move a car with a kick or punch, but is not able to pick it up off the ground.

1. Rumor has it that a new sect of cultists, loyal to the New Gods, has begun kidnapping and sacrificing children, in exchange for blessings. You've just witnessed one of these kidnappings. How do you react?
Answer: I go after them, not so secretly. Trying to reason with them, that a child isnt meant for this. If reasoning wont work then strike them all down with lightning, so they learn the lesson the hard way.
2. You've just witnessed a group of Resistance sympathizers ransack a temple built in honor of Breya, the patron goddess of Asphodel. What do you do?
Answer: Nothing if others are observing. If alone, perhaps make contact with one to seek more contacts with the groups.
3. You've been captured and thrown in a cell by city guards, under suspicion of conspiracy with traitors, with the Resistance. Despite whether you are or are not affiliated with the traitors, a group of New God loyalists (humans) has you cornered in your cell. What do you do?
Answer: Question their sanity. Try to reason with them. If they try to get physical defend myself, but with non-lethal force.
4. You've heard rumors of an Old God living beneath the city. Do you delve into the tunnels in hopes of finding it, ignore it and go about your business, or report the rumors to the city guard?
Answer: Curious to find out for myself, I might wonder down there to seek out answers, or search for others who have information.
5. What brought you to Asphodel, and how have you fared since moving to the city?
Answer: A job at a clinic, but Ive been wondering about the Resistance for quite some time.
The Juicy Bits
Backstory:
Ella is a 29-year-old woman who has only practiced psychiatry the past year. She finally has found a good paying job in Asphodel, but her curiosity has been piqued about the Resistance. She hasnt officially joined them, but is seeking to. Ella grew up on the West Coast of the United States. Her father brought her from Lagos as a baby to the US and raised her. Her mother had contact with her through a fountain in their home, shed appear in the water to speak to her. She could also speak to Ella through candle light, bonfires, and other places where a flame was available. Contact with Oya was seasonal mostly, but sometimes weekly when Ella came into her powers. Instead of joining the New Gods or the Resistance, Ellas mother chose to remain in Nigeria to protect her people.
Relic:
Copper Mask-Ellas mask was gifted from her mother. When wearing the mask, she can manipulate spirits to do her bidding and control the weather for longer amounts of time. However, if on for over an hour, the mask will scar her face.
