The Churchguard are charged with protecting the clergy and the churches themselves. They are devout warriors of The Great Church, but are not nearly as zealous as, say, the Order of Paladins. They wear red tabards with a golden cross emblazoned on them.



Veterans of the Churchguard who have served many years (at least a decade) are promoted to leadership roles. These competent fellows are well-trained, well-equipped, and well-led. They are tough veterans of many scrapes and know how to handle themselves. Some are Wild Cards. They wear black tabards with a golden cross.
