Dark Haven
You awaken laying on what appears to be a magical sigil. Several strange figures stand around you greeting you as a new "arrival" to their city. You don't know how you got there, and neither do they, but they say its normal for travelers to spontaneously appear on the landing pads now and again.They guide you outside into a wondrous city full of magical artifacts and creatures wandering about in the dead of night. But you notice that that there is no horizon, or rather, the horizon is only a mile or so away.
The strange figures explain to you that you've arrived on the Dark Haven, a miniature planetoid and starship hurling through the infinite void on a journey that's been going on longer than anyone here can remember.
There's no way back once you enter, so this is your home now. They hand you a key to a room at the local inn and tell you to report to the barracks after you've gotten a meal and some rest. There's a lot to do.
Dark Haven is a fantasy horror game that focuses more on intrigue, exploration, and strategy rather than just pure combat. That said, combat is still involved, as are other actions scenes a such as chase scenes, puzzles, and social encounters.
The d10 system is easy to learn but may take some time to master more than one field of play.
