Winter Sullivan

Winter Sullivan is 5'4", 112 lbs, dark brown hair, big brown eyes, a charming--though often wistful--smile, and carries a .32 caliber automatic pistol because she sticks her nose where it often doesn't belong.

Winter works the crime beat for the Chicago Trib, one of the first women to do so.  This is hands down an old boys club, but that's just fine with her.  Not only can she drink half of them under the table and still take the pot from the poker table, but her father taught her how to box, so if they put their grabby mitts on her, she can put their lights out.

Winter's dad, brother, and uncle are all on the job.  Her uncle, Peter Sullivan works for the FBI - Chicago, and her father and brother--Michael and Matthew, respectively--both work Chicago PD.  Winter uses her family contacts to get the real scoop on the sordid side of life in Chicago.
