Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage

Seeing the tiefling's head vanish, Silifrey shrugs.  <red>"Well, either he's found the path... or he's dead."</red.  Deciding to find out for herself, she walks forward through the (apparently illusory) wall.

"Nah, not dead. There's a passage behind here. Bloody fantastic. Let's get out of here." Then Raiden disappeared into the dragon's maw.

Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage

All the adventurers walk trough the wall and follow the new path which was disguised from their sight. The details of this passage becomed more ancient literature and art depictions carved onto the bushes as reliefs made by varied flowers. Soon the two arrive into pair of golden doors where had been carved symbol of Corellon Larethian, god father of all elves, into it's surface into middle of rose vines and each rose had some arcane rune in it. There was no handles on the doors but above th door readed in elven; "Alushei inishar aracho tomosh, arumei ishiur darosh tomosh."

Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage

Galain examined the arcane runes in the roses Hmmm, Nope have no idea what those marks mean but the words above are in elven. It says, "Use eyes gifted whit arcane see the lock, use your arcane language gifted tongue request a passage from the lock". I wonder what that means?

Galain was thoughtful for a moment and then got up and cast a spell.  He then examines the door carefully.

When bot Silifrey and Galain cast their cantrips, both see a magicall green golden glow around one of the runes which was in middle of leftmost rose. The rune is stll draconic however.

((Anyone who speaks draconic sees that rune is simplication to word 'Water'.))

Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage

The all leafs start to burn by green growing bright light, all start from the leaf where rune 'water' was placed. Soon silent humming is heard and the door cracks and breaks, the 'leafs' falling into ground and disappearing out of sight. Group now sees a dusty dark straigh hallway and see at end of it beautyfull arch where have been depicted open tomes above the arch. They also sees gentle light of torch ahead.

"Ah, the light at the end of the tunnel." Raiden muttered, though truthfully he was glad to be out of the maze. In there he felt trapped, caged, like he was in prison. Of course, he wasn't out of this mad dungeon just yet.

Scythe in hand, the tiefling crept down the tunnel, checking ahead for traps and tricks.

Group moves forward, no one replies to Silifrey's call. Group soon sees a large libary chamber, whit thousands upon thousands magically treated and suspended scrolls in shelves. Reading tables and chairs fill the middle spaceand in middle of it all is a old human man whit dirty traveler's clothes and severall traveling bags spreaded on table and studying some scroll in his hand in torch light. He stands very still, perhaps he is focusing very hard read the scroll?

"Finally!" Raiden said with weary joy. "Abso-bloody-lutely fantastic." He let Silifrey chat to the old geezer, and decided to lurk around the edges of the room. Of course, now they'd found the old dude, they still needed to get out.

((All roll will saves, DC 21. Those who fail following occurs, and those who succeed immediately notices this change. This effect is Enchament based.))

Immediately when the group moves forward towards oddly still professor, start feel suddenly their members to stiff, and when will falters against this event they suddenly freeze still. Unable to move nor showing any signs of realizing they have got stuck whit the pose, words or gestures what they were doing middle of the walk towards the professor.

Those who did not get freezed see now a fine blue runes glow in circle in all around the libary, and magic still hanging heavily in the air around them.

Re: Silver Marches Adventure: The Absent-Minded Sage

(Ok, to avoid this to be TPK I allow Galain pass the ward because he is a elf and ward is meanted to be elf friendly :P.)

Galain feels that he gets stuck too, like his companions, but after several moments he gets free from the freezing but his companions do not. But he detects arcane alike elven runes in the floor which surrounds the libary.

(note; The freezing is not hold person alike effect. You are not even aware you freeze over. To you no time passes while you are freezed. So whenever you get loose you must RP that like no time has not passed since you walked.)

Galain wastes no time when he sees his companions frozen in time. He begins to make a thorough study of the spell ward. He studies his his frozen companions as well as the runes that circle the room.

When he is done that, if he is not able to discern a way, he cast detect magic and studies the magical emanations.
