Re: OOC Discussion

Hiya, all! Frankly, Oblate, I've no idea if Ludo is the name of a character from Labyrinth, because I never seen the movie. My actual name is Paul and I adopted Ludo from the Latin verb, "I game". Wow, is it just me or does that look pretentious? Okay, folks, you've been warned! I'm the intellectually pretentious one...

Re: OOC Discussion

It *is* the name of the big ol' hairy rock-befriendin' puppet o' awesome from the Labyrinth. YAY!  Much cooler than "I Game". (grins)

So, uhm... Hi!  And welcome!  And what's so wrong with techy-psychic-alien-things?  *g* Long live techy-psychic-alien-things!  er, 'cept for the symbiots.  'cuz they's not cute.  They's bad.

Symbiots are ace. I love them.

They make a nice crunchy noise when you snap one.

Re: OOC Discussion

Apologies for the slowdown in both groups' threads. There are a few things being worked out OOC with a couple of players which will have an impact on the current IC action. Ludo informed me that he'll be away until about a week from now and he isn't sure how often he'll be able to check in while he's gone.

In the meantime I'll try to work out something for the rest of you so you aren't just sitting dormant. Thanks for your continued patience everyone.

Guess now'd be the time to tell you I'll be gone from Thursday until Tuesday.  Won't be checking the internet where I'm going.  (Dun dun dunn.)

Re: OOC Discussion

Hey gang. I wanted to check in with you to see if we can get things moving a bit. Tileira and E_V_I_L, I haven't seen any activity or heard from you guys in quite a while. Are you still with us? Jess, I'm also waiting on your post. Tycho and Ludo, thanks for your continued patience.

Re: OOC Discussion

Sounds like we've sort of lost all momentum here.  Too bad, but that's the way of things.  I think I'll drop the game from my sticky list at this point.  Best of luck with other stuff, everyone!

Re: OOC Discussion

Hello all. I've just been let into the game. I've never played an FS game before, but I happen to have a couple of books. What I play depends on what everyone else has, although I'm leaning towards playing an Ukari or an Obun. I'm quite happy to play up stereotypes, so expect to see either lots of violence or quiet introspection.

Re: OOC Discussion

Hey, welcome to the game!  I don't think anybody playing is an old vet at the game, so I wouldn't worry about being new to it.

Hiya, Snowguard!

Private First Class Harper speaks the truth. Rank aside, I think we're all relatively new to FS. Play whatever you think you'll most be interested in, yet fits with the ongoing game. Welcome!

Re: OOC Discussion

Well, that's good to know. I guess it depends on what the rest of you see yourselves needing more - calm, rational insight or a kraxi-wielding bastard? I note that Harper is a Scout and Juandaastas is heroic noble, possinly with some Talents.

Re: OOC Discussion

Well, I don't think I have a preference. We haven't gotten so far into things with the current crew to have actually interacted with each other let alone teamed up as a party. Maybe the Gamemaster will have some suggestion, but I think you ought to just go with whatever you think you'll have the most fun portraying.

Re: OOC Discussion

Ludo's right - play something you really enjoy, first and foremost. Worry about compatability with other characters later. I can see both an Obun and an Ukar fitting in nicely.

Re: OOC Discussion

I've decided to go with Gammak, an Ukari with a chip on his shoulder. He is nominally loyal to al-Malik, but is much more focused on his own goals. He'd wear leather armor, have a shot/heavy pistol, but have a severe preference for kraxi (Ukari knife-fencing). Actually, between that and Ukari martial arts, he's lethal at hand-to-hand, maybe even a Master, although he wouldn't claim such a title. Previous falling-outs with his Monastery led him to wander in search of his own penance, and aiding al-Malik seemed as good a way as any.

Thoughts?

Brother Fidelis will hopefully be manning the ramparts in the not too distant future.  I just need to work out the kinks in his background.

Howdy all.  Not sure if I can fit another game on my plate just now, but I'll keep an eye on things here, and if things are trucking along, I'll try to work out a way to get back into this one again.
