Heroes Guild Log 15

Standing at the bulletin board in the Heroes Guild is Angel. Somewhat exotic for a human, the lady has darker toned skin with wavy hair and seemingly violet-blue eyes. Her gear defines her easily as she carries a two-handed crossbow with her along with some hide armor, a bolt quiver slung on her front side for quick access, a normal quiver of arrows on her backside with her travel pack, and a rather large bow strapped to her backpack. She doesn't have a sword, though a dagger or two is on her person. Not that she uses those for combat.

The obviously ranged adventurer raises an eyebrow as one bulletin in particular catches her eye. It hasn't been taken up yet since it's new and not enough adventurers have gotten together for it just yet.

Re: Heroes Guild Log 15

Meanwhile, Raichel is playing patty-cake with Mittens, speeding it up so the two can practice reflexes and such. But she likes saying the cute phrases.

"A horse, a flea, and three blind mice,
sat on a curbstone shooting dice.
The horse, he slipped and fell on the flea.
The flea said 'Whoops, there's a horse on me.'"

Raichel has a big smile on her face.

Mittens is grinning too, throwing in spontaneous moves to challenge her sis.

"Patty Cake, Patty Cake,
Baker's Man;
That I will Master,
As fast as I can;
Prick it and prick it,
And mark it with a T,
And there will be enough for Raichel and me."

On the word "Raichel" she goes to tap her sis's nose, then hooks an elbow around Raichel's if she manages to mirror it, then thumbs at herself on the word, "me."

Lucky paused at the door to smile at the adorable scene before heading for the bulletin board to post something.  He gives a hello nod to Angel.

"Chirp, that's a sturdy flea.  I don't think I could handle being crushed by a horse."  "I do not think baked goods will actually be involved either."  "Tweet, what? False advertising rhyming!"

Terdisas and his Familiar are already inside as well, though less hand waving more sitting with a book somewhat nearby.  He noticed the impressive cross bow at first, so its taken just now to register Human Angel with Crossbow not = Not Birdy Kyokuu with crossbow.  He waves hello to Lucky, "Hello Lucky, it seems we have another recent arrival today.  Unless She has come by while I haven't been around."

Re: Heroes Guild Log 15

Angel keeps an ear open and hears a key phrase: "seems we have another recent arrival" which translates to "Look what the cat dragged in" or "Look! Fresh meat!" and other such derogatory versions of the truth. Her paranoia aside, Angel keeps her confident look and turns to see Terdisas. Then notices Lucky due to him looking her way from Ter drawing attention to her. Angel takes the bulletin off the board and holds it up. "Looks like there's enough of us here to take this one." she declares. She turns it towards herself to read it out loud, her eyes fixed on the paper while the corner of her eye is fixed on Lucky and Terdisas.

"Suspicious activity Northeast of Unity. What appear to be very large tracks, possibly a giant, going to and from the Northeast cattle. Heroes needed to stop cattle theft."

She then glances back at the other two. "Nobody's taken it yet, but I think if the people currently in here got together and tried, we'd at least be equipped enough to escape if the giant's too much for us."

Raichel bats her eyes, shrugging shoulders and giggling when Mittens taps her nose. She taps Mittens' nose in return, before her ear flicks from the conversations. Raichel turns to look in Angel's direction, listening. She stands up, taking her staff in hand. "That giant's gotta be desperate to be trying to steal from a city." She looks at her sis. "Well, sis? How about we scout this out? I'm feeling the need for a good walk and some exercise."

"You kidding?!" Mittens answers her sis enthusiastically, "I'm already there!  Let's go!  Try and keep up!  Introductions and such on the way!"

She rushes out the door!

Lucky sweatdrops.

"This might explain how she wound up in that last bind..." he comments, strolling for the door as well, "Happy to help, miss.  Name's Lucky.  Hello, Terdisas.  That was Mittens.  This is Raichel.  Any chance of Timothius joining us today?  Or is he occupied?"

Re: Heroes Guild Log 15

Well, if 'I wonder if this one will be awesome like the rest so far' is derisive in the implication that Angel just might not be as awesome as Callie or Kyokuu (harp edition), then yeah.

Terdisas says to Angel, "A pleasure to meet you before any potential unpleasantness we run into.  Hopefully, we will not have any stolen livestock thrown at us."  That said, he goes to follow after Mittens at a more reasonable pace... Or at least as reasonable that can be managed without loosing complete sight of her.

Raichel answers Lucky, "Tim's busy with the local orphanage. I would have been helping him, but well... he and I take turns watching over Mittens for obvious reasons. Sorry, madam. I just metchya, but pleasantries will have to be during and/or after our quest."

She heads out. "Now that you've had a head start, Mitts, let's see if YOU can keep up!" she shouts in a cheerfully competitive tone before running after Mitts.

Angel comes out with Lucky and Terdisas. "Nice to meet you all. I'm sure they won't leave us entirely behind, so let's go at our own pace, shall we?" she walks. "My name is Angel. If I see any cattle coming, I'll be sure to warn you to hop aside."

Re: Heroes Guild Log 15

Mits has already climbed to the town crier's perch and is shouting in all directions.

"Hear ye, hear ye!" she says, "Calling all adventurers!  Mittens and Raichel's intrepid band of superawesome heroes have taken on the quest to investigate the Giant Cattle Thief of the Northeast!  Is it a hill giant?  A troll?  Or worse?!  Join us and find out first hand!  Glory awaits those who dare to take on the unknown!  Wheee!"

She back-flips off the platform and lands uninjured at the bottom!  (DC15)

"You're on, sis!  Zoom!"

She races to catch up with Raichel!

"Somehow I doubt that they won't leave us entirely behind," Lucky says, "I'm just hoping she's a bit more stealthy than all this when the investigation starts.  Which I'm guessing would be best left to you, Angel.  By the way, I'm a cleric, Terdisas is a sorcerer, Raichel a monk.  And Mittens... a sword wizard I think she said?"

"Alas, I think that once a the culprit is spotted Mittens's subelty will be only as much as one of my lightning bolts is."   Which is to say, not very.  "Though, it would be nice if her enthusiastic sales pitch got us a little more aid."
