Heroes Guild Log 18

Emerald is relaxing in the guild. She is reclined in one of the rocking chairs near the fireplace, eyes closed and a smile on her face as she rocks in the chair. She has her boots off to expose her bare feet and lets out a nice, big fox-yawn, legs stretching out and toes flaying before she closes her mouth and relaxes again.

An ear flicks and she peeks an eye to see who is present.

Re: Heroes Guild Log 18

Jake strolls in and heads straight for the quest board without paying much attention to who's in the place.  Immediately behind him is Robbie with his perpetual grin.  Robbie looks over at Emerald and greets her by lifting the top half of his head off like it were a hat then placing it back.

Has not abandoned his boots, because he suspects that unless you are traditionally able to get away with that like Halfling Clerics of such, the 'No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service' could strike him at any time without warning.

And Terdisas had really wanted that cup of coffee right now...  As he sips it, he then realzies such paranoia is either incredibly silly because shirtless barbarians/Brawler Fighters buy food all the time...  Then again, people seem more inclined to argue with a skinny spell caster than an Aaaahnold.

"Researching the eternal debate of 'Rocking Chair Or Easy Chair' for best relaxation spot, Emerald?" He asks when the short fox peeks his direction.  Then Terdisass peeks over in Jake and Robbie's direction, commenting "Anything particularly noteworthy on the board since I last checked?"

Re: Heroes Guild Log 18

Emerald gives Robbie a casual two-finger salute. Unless this is the same Jake as earlier that argued with Timothius over heroics, Emerald would... OK, so she would wave to him too regardless. But still, clarification will be needed.

The fox looks at Terdisas and says, "I'm in a rocking chair mood today. Another day, might prefer the easy chair. Nothing terribly noteworthy today, hence my relaxing."

This Jake looks nothing like the other Jake.  This Jake has a robot following him around for starters.  Said robot gives Terdisas the same 'pull-head-off' salute that he gave Emerald.  Jake stares at the board, taking notes.

Re: Heroes Guild Log 18

Jake looks nothing like other Jake, but is just as silent. Gotchas.  Terdisas nods to Emerald, "Relaxation is something one should indulge in at least periodically.  It can come to be more appreciate in this line of work as well."  "Tweet, unless this line of work is your primary joy in life, then stopping for a cup of tea is probably torture."

He considers the notes binge from the newcomer.  "Either something interesting has turned up when we were not looking, or they find everything just as interesting."  "Dare yah to poke him, chirp."

Emerald says, "Maybe he's drawing." she hops out of her rocking chair, bidding the relaxation farewell before going to Jake and the robot. She hops onto the desk that's just below the b-board. The desk is what has the guest log / sign-in book. She smiles directly at Jake. "Hello there."

"Oh wow," Jake says, staring at Emerald, "Hi, Emerald."

Robbie finger shakes at the poking suggestion then turns his attention at Emerald.

"He is Jake, I am Robbie," he explains, "He is Jake, I am Robbie."

Superbird pretends not to notice.  Terdisas says "Hello, Robbie, Jake.=,  I am Terdisas.  It is a pleasure to meet you."  another day, another interesting person shows up.  Lots of interesting people is better than no interesting people.  "I would ask what brought you here today, but it seems to be clear enough unless I miss my guess."

Emerald gives Jake a smile and says, "Hi, Jake. Guessing aside, why *are* you here?"

Jake blushes slightly, fidgeting like a kid who's been put on the spot.

"Because..."

"Because because because because because... Because of the wonderful things he does!" Robbie sings as he rolls around, arms raised over his head.

"...Taking notes."

Terdisas guessed correctly that someone making notes was, in fact, making notes.  For our next difficult accomplishment trick, Gloves go on your hands, and two plus two is four.

"I do suppose writing it down yourself can end up much easier than walking back over to the board every time you need to recheck something.  Any particular wonderful things Robbie?  Or more wonderful in general?"

"I uh..."

"Jake is a Wonderful Wizard!" Robbie boasts, "And an Amazing Artificer!  And he a Terrific Telekineticist too!"

Jake blushes.  "...something like that, yeah."

Let's see, If you hybrid two classes theOHGODMYLEGS

Yeah, not going into that today, no sir.  Back to our regularly scheduled Narrative!  "It seems the more literally Arcane mechanics are becoming more popular earlier these days.  Unless coincidence is throwing off my statistics once more."

"Tweet, piles of people being awesome in close proximity tends to light statistics on fire.  While they are under water. On the moon."

Emerald laughs from Superbird's comment. "Heh... then you'd get along great with a boy I know named Eli. He's a wizard mechanic too. Though I don't think he's psionic.."

"Eli's awesome!" Jake says with a smile, "You know him?  Wow.  I'll have to let him know I met you."

"The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout!" Robbie sings.

"More young mages than young fighters?  Perhaps coincidence.  Perhaps has something to do with swords being powered by strength."

And yes, hybrid characters can take multiclass feats.

  "Hmm, I wonder if there will be a sudden surge in crossbow sales since that announcement regarding younger adventurers."  Handcrossbows for everybody! Yaaaaay!  Sehanine is so sad ;.;

"I still tend towards the less than physical methods myself.  But then, I believe that is considered expected in my case."

Someday... Someday he'll get Melee training just on Staff Mastery Principle.

Re: Heroes Guild Log 18

Emerald says, "Heh... I know a young boy named Maverick who wields a sword. But you're right; it isn't common due to the fact most kids aren't as, er, strong as adults." she thinks on this, remembering Maverick didn't seem terribly stronger than, say, herself and Emerald isn't into strength. "Though I think in Mav's case, like me, it's more about finesse."

She ohs and says, "Well hmm... how many of the heroes that come here have you met?"

"Quite a few," Jake answers, "Many adventures now."
He fiddles with his own crossbow.

"Jake has to lie about his age," Robbie points out.

"Robbie!"

"Robbie is honest about Robbie's age.  Robbie is 2 years old!  No one minds Robbie goes on adventures at 2 years old."

Once more, Terdisas finds himself wishing he was as able to filter BS as he was giving it.  "Is Robbie being farcical, or is this one of those angel baby things I think I have heard about in passing?"  "Tweet, that smith was clearly drunk at the time."

Emerald looks over at Terdisas. "Angel has a baby? She never told me she was a mom..." downside to being named Angel. "Maybe some extra info on what you're talking about?"

She looks at Robbie. "People don't apply the same rules to Devas either and they can be as young as "newborn", but since they have an "adult body" or whatnot, they are exempt from "protect the child" instincts."

"Built Robbie 2 years ago," Jake clarifies, "Emerald's right.  People focus on appearances.  Care little for reality."
