Re: Chapter 3-B: Across the Aldi and Into The Forgotten Deeps #1

The giant, already obviously angry, doesn't seem any further angered by the dwarven taunt.

GRIM's axe slams through the bushes and finds a goblin's prone body.

Round 1:
15: giant #1
13: giant #2
11: goblins (3,4,5) - total concealment, prone
11: DAI
 9: GRIM
 8: JACK
 7: ZEIG            - flat-footed

T = Tree (soft corners)
t = tent (soft corners)
F = campfire (Illumination: 20' bright, 40' shadowy)
o = bush (difficult terrain DC 15 STR check to ignore movement cost penalty as a free action, can drop prone inside for total concealment)

Re: Chapter 3-B: Across the Aldi and Into The Forgotten Deeps #1

The giant takes a swing at JACK with its long arms as he moves closer to it, knocking some of the stuffing out of him. Roll those tumble checks >:| Learn the hard way.
16:14, Today: teslas rolled 22 using 2d8+12. damage.
16:14, Today: teslas rolled 30 using 1d20+15. Giant #2 AoO vs. JACK.

JACK, in turn, sends fist after fist into the giant's torso, noticeably wearing it down.

ZEIG moves to the east 15' and casts Cure on JACK.
16:20, Today: teslas, on behalf of ZEIG, rolled 10 using 1d8+6. Cure -> JACK. MP: 45/53

The giant that zapped GRIM remains motionless.

The other giant, furious at the little man in front of him, steps back 5', pulls a large wineskin hanging from his side, and then drinks the entire thing. He begins to froth at the mouth.

Goblins #3 and 4 stay hidden in the bushes. Goblin #5 stands up from the prone position (no attack of opportunity because it had total concealment). It then stabs at GRIM with a dagger it was holding, but the puny little thing makes a *dink* noise as it bounces off of his armor.
16:28, Today: teslas rolled 12 using 1d20+10. Goblin #5 dagger vs. GRIM.

Round 2:
15: giant #1  - Sleep
13: giant #2  - Berserk

"Someone take care of the sleeping one! Zeig, maybe some light for Jack?" DAI says, as he tries putting the other giant to sleep, with a slightly weaker spell, not expecting his plan to be put into action if he failed to make the giant Slumber.

Sleep targetting Giant 1, DC 16 Will Save or asleep for 8 Rounds. MP 36/54

Already in an unnatural rage, the giant is barely aware of GRIM's presence, let alone his attempt to provoke him.

GRIM's first swing of his axe nearly severs one of the goblin's arms. Green blood coats his weapon. The goblin manages to get out of the way of the second swing.

JACK looses another solid volley of quadruple strikes into the giant's body, wounding it horribly.

ZEIG, carefully lining everyone up as best he can, casts Heal, but JACK is just barely out of range.
15:19, Today: teslas, on behalf of ZEIG, rolled 13 using 1d8+7. Heal -> ZEIG/GRIM/DAI. MP: 42/53
He keeps his place at the center of all of the combat.

14:07, Today: DAI rolled 7 using 1d20+6. Aero RTA PBS vs Goblin 5.

GM Edit-
16:11, Today: teslas, on behalf of DAI, rolled 18 using 1d20+6. crit fail confirm.

Re: Chapter 3-B: Across the Aldi and Into The Forgotten Deeps #1

JACK gears up for another round of devastating punishment. The first attack, though not quite as solid as it could be, lands successfully in the giant's tender abdomen. The obscuring darkness finally causes JACK to mis-time his second blow, throwing off this third strike horribly. He loses his balance and is unable to follow through for his fourth and final attack.

ZEIG steps 5' to the south to put the tent between himself and the goblins in the bushes. With everyone looking in relatively good health, he removes the residual poison from DAI's wound. Basuna. MP: 41/53

Giant #1 continues to slumber.

Giant #2 redoubles his assault in JACK, screaming wildly.

Luckily the second attack does not find its mark after JACK is lambasted with amazing crushing force.

Goblin #3 remains in the bushes.

Goblin #4 does not come out of the bushes either.

Goblin #5 runs up behind the sleeping giant and begins slapping and screaming at it in some horrible language.  The giant shakes its head and comes to.

Re: Chapter 3-B: Across the Aldi and Into The Forgotten Deeps #1

JACK nails the giant again, this time hitting something a bit more soft than his abdomen. In shock, JACK fumbles up his second attack, nearly staggering backwards. The giant screams in either agony or rage, or maybe a little of both.

ZEIG casts Cure on JACK again, then holds his position.
21:58, Today: teslas, on behalf of ZEIG, rolled 7 using 1d8+6. Cure -> JACK MP: 40/53.

Giant #1 does not move, assuredly peacefully slumbering away.

Giant #2, near death, swings at JACK with everything it has.
22:01, Today: teslas rolled 35 using 2d8+29. damage.
22:00, Today: teslas rolled 17 using 1d20+6. same, second attack.
22:00, Today: teslas rolled 26 using 1d20+11. #2 greatclub vs. JACK, full PA.

The first strike nearly smashes him into the ground. Somehow keeping his composure, JACK is able to evade the second broad sweep.

Goblin #3 stands up from the bushes, ready to throw his dagger at someone not carrying around 75lbs of armor, but cannot see any. He proceeds 30' to the southeast.

Goblin #4 does not exit the bushes, possibly fearing for its life.

Goblin #5 keeps slapping and yelling. The giant next to him comes to once again. It then moves 15' to the west, plowing through a bush.

Round 5:
15: giant #1
13: giant #2  - Berserk
11: goblin #3
11: goblin #4 - total concealment, prone
11: goblin #5
11: DAI
 9: GRIM
 8: JACK
 7: ZEIG

T = Tree (soft corners)
t = tent (soft corners)
F = campfire (Illumination: 20' bright, 40' shadowy)
o = bush (difficult terrain, DC 15 STR check to ignore movement cost penalty as a free action, can drop prone inside for total concealment)

Re: Chapter 3-B: Across the Aldi and Into The Forgotten Deeps #1

DAI curses under his breath at that damn goblin, before firing off a Blast of Aero from his wand at the Giant in front of JACK, dropping the useless stick afterwards, and moves 10ft to the left as he draws his wand of Lock.

20:19, Today: DAI rolled 20 using 2d10+7. Aero damage vs Giant 2.
20:18, Today: DAI rolled 22 using 1d20+6. Aero RTA PBS vs Giant 2.
