Re: OOC Thread 9

Ok I will do that.

On another note, I was messing around with the map options and I think anyone can now edit the map. That means you can mark it with a ? or something so I and others have a reference point to what you are talking about.

Andy, would you mind testing that for me?

Re: OOC Thread 9

Would the Ourania outpost be within range of the mortars we can call on? If so I'd presume they have pre-registered it as a target.

I'd suggest we check the bridge out to see if the Ourania Garrison have put an OP there, deal with it if there is and then cut north as soon as we've crossed. If there is activity from the outpost, we call in the mortars.

I've just added two markers for the other two bridges we were talking about.  Have a check that you can see them (and that my info is correct).

Re: OOC Thread 9

In reply to John Jameson McCarthy (msg #54):

Sorry, I missed this.

Yes. Orunia is within 81/82mm range.

Note: there hasn't been any recce patrols in the Orunia sector so intel is limited. It is believe it is similar to the other 2 surrounding outposts - garrisoned by a platoon (plus support) and any patrols that might be in the area using it as a temporary FOB.

40 men on average... up to 75-80 on occasion.

With regards to OPs, these 3 small garrisons (Orunia, Przejazdowo, Bretowo) really only have the manpower to constantly operate 2 or 3 OPs each. So it isn't like the countryside is teeming with them. Although roaming patrols from the parent Battalion further south at Pruszcz Gdański, may be encountered anywhere.

...just to let you know what you can expect.

Re: OOC Thread 9

That sounds good. If I was the commander of the garrison one of my OPs would overlook the bridge I'm talking about, it's a natural chokepoint. If we do head that way we'd need to scout it out first.

Re: OOC Thread 9

I'm not sure how. The bridge is east of the garrison marker for Ourina, there's a river/canal and a double bridge on it. The Mad Dogs used it a few weeks ago to hit the battery we were attacking.

I added it. Lemme know if it is incorrect.

It's a twin rail road bridge.

That's it, although I'd have preferred it if you'd labelled it, go directly to base without getting shot at...

LOL... you guys are acting like you don't want to drive through an ambush that is guaranteed to be waiting for you while you're driving trucks carrying high explosives. Fine. But don't think I won't forget to make up for it later :)

Turn is up. Everyone except for the drivers are dismounted. I've left it ambiguous as to who is attending the meeting between JJM, Ortega, and Beale. So if you want to participate in the dialogue then it's up to you to join in.

Fuse - further to my IC post I've added a red cross to the map to indicate another bridge that we need to know the status of.

Thanks.

Ah - sorry - I misunderstood.  I'll amend the map etc later.

"Chiller" - I hope it looks like bad penmanship - it was supposed to! <G>

Ferro isn't going to voice her opinion IC but I think we should go with the train bridge at orunia.

Thanks. Does anyone else have any feedback for JJM? I don't want to rush him, but if nobody else has any preferences (or makes them known), he can get on with things.

Re: OOC Thread 9

Who still has a silenced weapon please?

I think that we might do a bit of a swap around with who is in the UAZ so that it's PCs involved in checking out the bridge/taking out the OP we assume is there.
