Allura looks around, "Wow  didn't know Rory lived in a museum. This place gives me a bit of the creeps."

Susan looks around and see's several magical wards and other things she did not see upon a casual glance around the place. Several objects also indicate they have a magical nature to them as she glances about.

Susan smirked.
"Apparently there's a lot of money in 'ancient mysteries'.   Actually, I've never asked Rory how his father made his money.  I've never had the nerve to pry.
By the way....avoid that area...and that area....and over there...."

She pointed out the warded spots to Allura.

Allura looked to Susan, "Why what's up with those areas ? Oh and yeah Rory comes from a loaded family like yours. I never really pried how they made their fortune either."

Susan was a bit uncomfortable with talk of her family fortune, since in many real ways she felt like it wasn't her real family.   Still, she said nothing.

"These areas are warded with magic.   I'm not sure the actual effects, but we should both avoid them."

"What get out ! You mean Rory is a witch too ?"

Susan shook her head.
"No, I don't think so, but....well, I'll bet his father, with all these books and such, has access to something, or someone, magical.   that's just a guess, though."

She tried to analyze the wards, her curiosity getting the better of her.

The wards seem very powerfully put together the work of a potent arcanist.

They don't seem like they would harm her or Allura they seem more meant to keep things out.

Susan wanted to study them for a moment, perhaps even learn to make them, but there was no time.  She led the way to Rory's room.

Allura follows closely behind almost walking in Susan's footsteps.

When she got to Rory's room, Susan tried to find something that meant a lot to him personally, or perhaps an article of clothing that wasn't too dirty.

Susan finds a picture of them all as younger kids.

Susan looked at the picture, a pang of pain and regret seizing her as she held it.

Susan isn't in the picture but it was taken at school and she see's Greg in the back ground.

Susan's eyes tear up and her legs get weak. .  Shakily, she sat down hard on Rory's bed and started crying, softly, despite efforts to stop.

"_{.....no, no, no....stop it, you idiot...there's no time for that....you can feel sorry for yourself later......}"

OOC:  Does Susan think this picture will be useful in crafting a spell to find Rory?

She sits down on the bed and feels something roll down and clink against her leg.

"Hey Susan, what's wrong ?" Allura sat down next to Susan and pulled her into a hug.

"He will be ok, we will find him."

Susan wanted to resist the hug, but it felt very good to be hugged, especially by the beautiful Allura.  She shook her head.
"I'm sorry...I'm being stupid..I...it's just...I feel so awful at all the wasted time and.....loss of....so much...."
She trailed off, not wanting to say more, and absent mindedly picked up the thing that had bumped her leg.

Susan picks up a bracelet like Rory wears but it has a different symbol on it.

Susan, eager for any distraction from the embarrassingly painful crying or the embarrassingly nice hug, picked up the bracelet.

"Um...I didn't know he had two of these things......."

"Hey I think Rory told me about those some kind of magic things when he was all talking about being special.  I think I have the most special friends in Arkham." Allura laughed a bit.

With Allura's warm body next to hers, Susan could only smile and nod to her.
"You're pretty darned special yourself, Allura.  I'm glad you're my friend."

Before she got too emotional about the situation, Susan looked to the charm, trying to analyze the magic, to see if she could use it to find Rory.

"_{....hmmmm...finding similar magic might be easier than finding Rory, perhaps....}"

There was a slight glow as Susan checked the bracelet over it's symbol was not one she was familiar with at all but it held some strange powerful magic to it.

Intrigued, Susan tried to study the magic of  the charm bracelet, to see if it can be used to track Rory.

There is a flare of the symbol on the bracelet and *POP* Susan vanishes from the bed leaving Allura looking around dumbfounded.
