"What?  Oh he does not.  You'll have to tell me truthfully some day why you dont like Rory.  But another time."

Zoey walked over to the couch and took a seat next to Otto and Hal,  "I am going to be gone for a while, and I need you to watch over my folks for me Otto.  If anything happens, let me know okay?  Sam will come by and check on you too for me."

Otto bounced and squeaked.

Subtitle I like Sam. How can I watch over your parents they are big ?

Hal, "That's cute, it's like she is talking to him."

She smiled at Otto, scratching his chin  "Just watch them.  Keep an eye on them for me, like I do you.  If something bad happens, you can let me know.  I think Sam likes you too."

Looking at Hal, "I can talk to him.  And other marine animals too."

Hal, "So your like what ? That guy from the movie Water world ?" Hal shakes his head.

Hal looks to Allura, "So what can you do ?"

"I know a bit of magic. Not as good as some people I just started recently."

In reply to Watchtower (msg # 102):

Zoey stands with a light scoff,  "Please.  Kevin Kostner wishes he was like me,"  and laughs as she heads to her room.  "Ill be right out, need to grab my stuff.  Hey Hal, you should probably get a hold of your dad though shouldn't you?"

Hal, "He is probably busy but I will call him."

Hal gives Allura an odd look but takes out his cellphone and walks off to talk.

Private to Otto: To Otto:  I know I shouldn't ask you this, but will you eavesdrop on his conversation?  He's new and seems nice, but Im still a little wary of things, you know.  Just listen to what he says to his dad.

Otto scampers off to look up at Hal.

After a few minutes, Zoey returns with a packed duffle bag and wearing a pair of cut of blue jean shorts and a white halter top.  She plops herself on the couch with Allura, waiting for Hal to finish his call.

"You going to bother stopping at your place for stuff Allie? I've got plenty here you can borrow, a few things are bigger on me in the closet if you want to go through it.  Oh um, can you text Jeremy about Hal, let him know he may come with us? Pops has my phone right now."

Allura nods, "I would like to grab some things from home, no offense but we have different taste in clothes. Your the more swimsuit type. OH that's right you going to be ok in the middle of the country away from water ?"

Allura texts Jeremy that two others are coming along.

"I hadn't actually thought of that.  Maybe they've got a lake there or something?  Ill make sure I have plenty of bottled water when we get there that's for sure.  I should be fine, besides if it's too dry Ill just make it rain."

She smiled at her friend,  "So when we're done here we'll head to your place and you can get your stuff.  Ill wait outside though I think."

"Now Hal on the other hand can borrow some of your clothes." Allura laughed.

Zoey gave her a playful nudge and lowered her voice, "Come on, be nice.  He's sweet and he likes you.  Why not give the guy a chance?"

Otto runs back and looks up at Zoey.

~He is harder to understand then you~

She looks at Otto confused, "What do you mean?"

Otto

~Well I understand you and your friends sometimes but he is new~

~What did he say?  Can you tell me that, maybe I can figure it out?~

Otto squeaks and repeats Hals words.

It pretty much seems like Hal was talking with his dad and the two getting heated but ultimately his dad gave tentative permission.

Zoey smiled at Otto, "How about some clams?  I've got a freezer full for you."

She got up and went to her freezer for some clams for Otto, placing them on his rock near the door.  "There you go sweetie.  I have to grab my phone from Pops, then Im set when you guys are."

Otto does a backflip.

Hal comes back in, "My dad said I can go."

Zoey looked to Hal and smiled,  "That's great.  What did you say to him to convince him to let you go?"  She grabbed her packed bag and made sure the door was locked, leaving the pet door open for Otto, then started heading down the back stairs to Perry's shop to get her phone.

Hal,  "I just reminded him he would do it, if one of his friends was in trouble. He thinks Rory and Susan just went someplace to be alone."

"Your dad seems pretty cool." 

"Hey Pops.  We're heading out now, if that's all right?  Im sure Jeremy wants to leave as soon as possible.  Sam's going to stop by sometime to check on Otto for me, and probably drop off my homework.  Can you give him my keys so he can just let himself in? I will call you as soon as we land in Kansas later, so try not to worry too much.  We'll be okay." She gave him a hug and kiss and handed her keys to him.

Perry took her keys and watched the group go.
