Zoey and the pool.

Leads: Zoey

Zoey shows up at the doors to the pool and see's a sign on the door. No freaks in sports ! Help keep our teams pure.  Report any suspicious activity to the principle.

Zoey looked at the sign disgusted, "What the..?  This day is totally messed up."  She opened the door to the pool area and looked around, then glanced cautiously over her shoulder.  Better play it safe, Zoey.

The hall seemed empty and she could see the pool.  Some other students were in it swimming around but she didn't see the swim coach.

Extra's: Teen couple.

The two look over when the door opens seeing Zoey !

Zoey glanced at the couple and then made a bee line for the girl's locker room to change.  "How's the water?"  She asked as she passed the teens in the water.

Both were also on the swim team.  The girl looked to Zoey, "Zoey shut the door to the pool !"  She looked at it nervously.

The guy said, "Water's ok just way over chlorinated."

She shut the door, "You want it locked too?  The pool is always over chlorinated, that's why I prefer the river.  Is there anyone else around?"

The boy says, "Yeah lock it if you can. No one else is here we were just enjoying it between classes you know."

The girl nods, "We don't wan't to get in trouble, but we know were safe with you."

Zoey shrugs and locks the door, then looks at the two curiously.  "Um, can I ask you guys something?  I must be having some kind of an off day, but do things seem weird today?  I mean, like the sign on the door when I came in."

She sat on the edge of the pool, taking her shoes and socks off to stick her feet in.  "What do you mean safe with me?"  Her voice was low just in case there was someone else around they hadn't noticed, feeling nervous.

They swim over to Zoey, "Well we heard some student spoke out defending the Salem witches, probably just joking around but the school staff are a bunch of snitches. I mean it's like saying 9/11 was justifiable."

The girl then says, "Yeah the sign sucks but ever since they found an Atlantean won in the Olympics, and a Kryptonian was playing football. Well we all have to keep low key. You know that better then us swim champ." She smiled a bit.

The boy said, "No one comes here during this period so hop in, your right though the river is much better."

"Right. Yeah, be right in."  Zoey went to the locker room to change into her swim suit, thoughts racing through her mind.

Atlanteans and Kryptonians?  How do they know?  As soon as she was changed, Zoey joined the others in the pool, swimming over to them.  "You're kidding about the Atlantean and Kryptonian thing right?  I mean, really?" She looked at them to see how they would react to her questions.  "What do you know about Atlanteans?"

"No, though you asking if something was weird today,  I would have to say you not knowing that is pretty impossible.  Now DNA testing is done in all professional sports." said the boy.

The girl looked at Zoey, "Hello Zoey, your not a deep one but we have seen you swim so we know your Atlantean.  Don't worry not like we will tattle on you, you have to be careful though."

The boy nodded, "Yeah were allies now."

Zoey could see the tell tale signs that these were human/deep one hybrids as could the audience as the camera zoomed in on mostly hidden gills and other odd features.

Zoey looked at the two, eyes wide in shock. "This isn't right.  When did they discover us?  Atlantis, is it safe?" She swam to the edge of the pool and got out, shaking her head.

Turning to the teens in the pool, "Im ditching the rest of classes today.  Um, can we meet later or something?  I would really like to talk to you guys about everything."

They looked at Zoey like she might be crazy.

Not really replying but making their way out of the pool into the locker rooms.

In the locker room Zoey turned to the girl,  "Seriously.  I don't know what is going on, but most everything is weird today.  At least Sam and I are still together."

The girl smiled, "Yeah Sam is dreamy, your lucky but does he know, you know about you ?"

She looked to Zoey, "I mean after the war and everything, he probably doesn't know."

"War? Um, actually..can we get just get out of here?  I suddenly feel very uncomfortable here."

She quickly changed back into her uniform and was ready to leave.

"No skipping school is bad, very bad. They look into you more if you just skip. Plus we would all be letting our parents down if we skipped." The girl shook her head got dressed and left quickly.

Zoey followed after her, "All right, I'll stay for class.  Better to be safe than sorry I guess.  Huh?  Can you meet me later, at my place?"

She walks to her next class.

"I guess." the girl says without much conviction.
"Where do you live ?" She inquired of Zoey.

Zoey gives the girl her address, "We could somewhere else if you'd rather?  I just need to talk to someone, and well you two.."  She kept her voice low between them.

The girl nodded as if in understanding.
