The Count brought up the rear alongside the Archer, his buckler and flaming sword held at the ready.

Re: Chapter 3: Confrontations

You all head towards the torch, it was slightly disconcerting having your back to the pitch black tunnel behind, but Grigory was able to keep some sort of lookout. A clicking and grinding sound started as you neared the corner, and grew progressively louder until you reached the torch.

It was indeed situated at a corner, the tunnel you were following making a 90 degree bend where the torch was lit. Ahead, by about twenty paces, to skeletal figures step out from a doorway, and turn towards you. They are quickly joined by two more. From behind, Grigory also makes out two more figures at the far end of the tunnel you had just walked down. All of them start to run at you, there eyes glowing faintly orange.

The four in front and the two behind are all about twenty yards out and are moving at move 5 towards you.

Grigory is not scared by skeletons without flesh. He lowers his shield at the two coming at the back of the party, and charges forward.

Grigory will run forward at full speed until making a Shield Rush at the closest one when he meets them.

Re: Chapter 3: Confrontations

The sight of the undead was not truly a surprise but from what he could see they were not any of the deadly ones that roam the chaos wastes in the north and the group should be able to deal with them.

Instead he felt there should be a handler close by directing the undead bones and that is what he was looking for while staying clear of the skeletons.

If he spots the necromancer controlling the skeletons then he will shoot fire bolts at them.

Re: Chapter 3: Confrontations

Bjorn and Grigory immediately took off in opposing directions the rat catcher getting backup from Nikolaas. The fire from Nikolaas' sword, easily illuminates their path.

Behind them, Ogindur prepares to meet any skeletons that get by, and Konrad and Nigel unleash their missiles. Konrad hurls a fireball that falls woefully short, and splashes on the ground between the charging skeletons and the Grigory/Nikolaas duo. Nigel was a bit more lucky an arrow flying over Nikolaas' shoulder and lodging with a clatter in one of the skeleton's eyes. He pitches forward with a clatter.

Konrad, I'm thinking you mean a fireball, a flaming missile is essentially a buff you'd cast on someone like Nigel to let him shoot flaming arrows. It misses due to range.

Updated map in a moment, Bjorn might be in trouble...

Re: Chapter 3: Confrontations

Nik smiles grimly as the arrow whistles past his ear, the sensation stirring up memories of being in a line of battle - his natural environment. His pace stays even as he strides toward the remaining skeleton with Grigory at his side.

Another Move (6) forward; I could Sprint, but I want to force him to make a Move-and-Attack if he wants to try for me.

Ogindur, noted the balance on the corridors and that the ranged warriors were probably save, buffered by a flesh wall of his companions.

He noticed  Bjorn running down the corridor aiming at four of the monsters. Ogindur pressed his treetrunk legs and set off at a sprint to catch up with the Sigmarian Paladin.

Nikolaas, Ogindur, and Grigory all continued to rush forward. Konrad moves up behind the steel wall that was Bjorn and Ogindur and Nigel sends an arrow over the dwarf's head, "killing" another skeleton.

The remaining skeleton rushing Nikolaas and Grigory continues to charge forward, colliding with the rat catcher at a full sprint.

Grigory, you need to defend against the potential slam, or take 1d6 damage.

Re: Chapter 3: Confrontations

Grigory catches the onrushing skeleton on the face of his shield, twisting as he does so to deflect the thing's momentum. As it goes careening away, he chops down on one of the skeleton's arms. The thing isn't quick enough, or agile enough to block, and Grigory's weapon connects with bone in a CRUNCH! and ruining the limb and sending its cutlass clattering to the floor. The servitor responds with a diagonal slash at the rat catcher, with his left arm, but misses him entirely. Nikolaas takes the opportunity to beat down on the skeleton, driving it to the ground and shattering it into pieces.

Nigel drops the skeleton immediately in front of Bjorn with an amazing shot. The monster behind it immediately clambers over his fallen comrade and swings awkwardly at Bjorn, missing him entirely. Ogindur powers forward and collides into one of the onrushing skeletons, turns, and punches another with the spike of his shield.

Konrad, meanwhile, behind Bjorn's shield, prepares to dispel the magic animating the skeletons. [Private to Konad Magnos: This takes 3 seconds to cast]

Work is a bit crazy today, and I don't have time to update the map. But here's the crunch bits of what happened:

Skeleton at 15.34:
- Gets his right arm ruined
- Steps to 15.33 and then totally whiffs his attack.
- Gets the bashed to pieces by Nik and critically failed any relevant rolls to stay alove

Skeleton at 2.26:
- Dies

Skeleton at 2.25:
- Moves to 2.27
- Misses his attach on Bjorn

Ogindur
- you move 3 yards to hit the skeleton at 3.26
- I am having a hard time understanding your damage on your sheet. Please roll it for me. In case you need it, assume the skeletons have 12HP
- I'm not sure that one can shield rush multiple targets. I don't have the rules handy at the moment, can someone confirm? If you can, you may also hit the target now at 2.27
