Justin moves to a part of the ferry which provides a reasonable view of the surrounds and occupants; where he observes them for a short time. His thoughts turn to how Kree intends to locate the informer at Ironmound.

  After  about  30 minutes or so, the Ferry is Guided up on some logs, used to slide the ferry in and out of the water... Kree steps off the  Ferry and talks the  the fellow  in charge of the  North side of the Ferry. He  counts out  some coins, then adds a silver  for each of the crew.

  We keep moving....I want to be at least halfway to Bowshot , before night falls....

Laithia stood with Navarre close by watching as the ferry crossed the water. She sees Foril and smiles at him as a bird swoops down and grabs a bird from the water. A nervous energy takes hold of her as she cannot wait to get on the road again. Navarre sensing it snuffles at Laithia his nose nudging her gently. "Soon my friend! We will be moving freely again soon! Sadly it is back to a place I did not hope to see for quite a while," she rubs her cheek against the side of his head as her gaze drifts off staring into the distance.

In reply to Ferry Ride (msg # 53):

Justin is the last to leave the ferry he thanks the crew and acknowledges Captain Krees directives. Enquiring about the direction they will be moving to reach the minimum distance to Bowshot.

Riku looks about the crew and then flutters to Kree or Ivy, whomever would be the most available to speak with.

Do you wish of me to scout ahead in the skies? she asks patiently.

Unless otherwise ordered, Rolf will fade back towards the rear of the group, taking up his usual position of rear guard.

  As they walked, He thought on Riku's question then Nodded,..Diana, You ride  out to the left flank...Laithia , to the right...Riku..take Center....Ivy and  I will take the flanks  near the group, Rolf  has rear guard....

Diana nodded and wheeled her horse off to the left flank.  She rode about 50 yards away from the main group.

Laithia mounts up easily, the feel of being back in the saddle bringing a smile to her face. She brings Navarre up to Foril and smiles down at him. "Want to go for a ride? He can easily carry us both. If you want to that is," her smile is bright and expectant as she waits for his answer.

"I'll have to hop off as soon as there's any trouble... knives or magic from horseback are a little problematic... but the good news is I can set a shield spell that should help all of us."

Luthien's place, of course, is melee point. By point, of course, that's 'armored point.' That is, In front of the can't sneak anywhere part of the team.

Noting Luthiens positioning Justin moves to the flank a short distance from Ivy is positioned.

Aye aye she said and fluttered above the crowd some odd 25 feet or so.  If they came across tall trees, she'd flutter up above them and jet back down intermittently to the group and update.

She passed by Kashthiel on her way up, winked, and tickled him with her wings along his jawbone.

Laithia smiles at Foril and offers him a hand up behind her. Once he is settled comfortably, she gives him a smile. "Ready?' she asks before Navarre heads out and they take up their flanking position. The large horse moves with an easy rolling gait. Laithia allows him to move for a bit then slows him down as she scans the area, the stallion mirroring her moves.

"At least we have a lovely day for this," she comments as they keep careful watch over the group making sure nothing sneaks up on them.

When Riku flew by tickling and winking at him. He winked back and smiled. "Be careful my sweet."

  The  Arrows  Move at a goodly pace..Kree and Ivy pushing the  flanks to stay , well within sight, of the  out riders....When  Mid-day was reached, Kree never  halted the  Group, Instead Pushed on.

  off in the Distance ( to the  south-west ) was a LArtge Gathering of Laynak's  answer to Vultures. Large, almost horsesized, Birds , that fed on helpless..or  carrion...

Justin delighted in the exercise the group was moving well and he appreciated the workout. Noting the circling scavengers he assumed they would be signs of some slavers action.

  As they pushed on, Kree noticerd a few of the Arrows  looking to the South/west....we continue on, , he calls over from his flank position,...as it is..we will be hard pressed to find a defesnable camp spot  as the sun touched the tops of the Balck Timber...r

  The group traveled...not a forced march, but not  a stroll either...the Sun was already tryng to hide behind the ironwood trees of the Balck Timber...

  Ivy Came  running across the formation and Pointed to some Rocks and  Copse of trees thatwas like an island  in the sea of grass.....We should stop there, Kree...it will be dark in another hour or so...

...Just another Mile or so...


 Ivy Grabbed  his cousin and turned him,KREE!...we will not be on Ironmound's door  step in another hour.....the traitor will still be there...they do not knowyou had...a talk..with theLion...these folks are not elven....they need rest...and all of us need to eat....

 Kree was about to snap on Ivy, but looked away in the direction of Ironmound...he nodded slowly,Aye...bring everyone together...head  for the camp spot....

  Ivy nodded and  Darted towards the Group, waving then into a tighter formation..Kree pulled out  his signal whistle  and whistled  long and hard, to bring the riders into the Group...

It's true Luthien's no elf...but neither is he human, either.

He seemed to be keeping up well enough, despite being in that heavy gleaming full plate of his. But then again, his patron IS of the hunt, so perhaps he was trained for this.

Justin notes Kree's anxiety. How far be it from here to Ironmound he asks.

Riku had almost forgotten about the group below as she fluttered about keeping an eye out ahead and around them.  She'd gotten pretty high up to get a good view of everything, but it was a strong whistle that let her know something was up.  She took point down and headed back to the group.

Are we assembling for a meeting? she asked curiously having missed out on their plan to stay for the night here.

Kree had set a stern pace, but Rolf was used to physical challenges and he did well enough, but when it was decided that they'd head for a campsite, Rolf decides he could do with a bit of a rest.

  We rest at those Boulders, by the Copse of trees...Keep any fire to the north side of the Rocks..that way, it will be harder to see from the open plain...

  Durzak looked over the Rocks and nodded, Picking out a good place to put  down his equipment, then set about making a fire ring.

 ..Set a pot to Boil...and have  a flat rock or two next to the fire..I have a pair of Breadlovaes we can set by the fire to warm, and we shall make a Stew.....everyoneelse, care for you equipment and rest...

  Handing the Loaves to Durzak, Kree and  Ivy  lope out into the gathering drakness to find some small game...

Kashtheil walked along quietly. He had a lot to think about. He knew that the world outside was not what he thought it was or should be. He knew that life was hard, but he did not know just how corrupt the world could be.

Kashtheil knew that the world needed people like Kree in it, but he also knew that there were people that walked a thin line. They seen things a certain way and it was not always how it should be, but it was what it was,

Kashtheil was here to put these events into words, for all to read. It was the reader who would decide if it was for good or not these deeds not him. He sighed and kept walking his thought drifting.
