Bruhli swung his midnight black greatsword at the alchemist. “GOTCHA!!!” But the alchemist was still standing. And like the cowardly bird he knew her to be, the alchemist (which is a good book) took flight! Bruhli stared at Tinny Tina in anger. His muscles bulged and elemental energy began to spark around his arms until a green energy flowed around the barbarian. Bruhli was about to strike back hard against a coward, but as he went to move he was engulfed by fire and was unable move! Bruhli flexes his muscles and appears to break free from the glue. “TINA! HOW ARE YOU GOING TO PROVE YOUR STRENGTH UP THERE!!?”

   SUMMARY: - Bruhli is stuck to the floor, but breaks free. Tiny Tina takes 29 dmg from AOO. Also, my energy resistance kicked in that's why your bomb's damage was less.

OOC: Reading the tanglefoot bomb, tanglefoot bag, and the entangled conditions together, it appears I can make a DC17 strength check to break free as a move action.

Finally, I think the height for the small arena is 25ft?

You are right about the height limit, but I'must not sure how you got a move action for the strength check

OOC: Tanglefoot bag allows me to make a DC17 strength check to break free. Granted, it doesn't say whether it is a move or a standard. Seeing as it is an entangling effect, I decided to check around the Entangle spell (which it imitates). The entangle spell says you can break free with a strength check as a move action. I'll admit that it's not entirely on point, but it is the closest thing I could find to this situation.

Bruhli stared up at Tinny. She stood there, unmoving. Perhaps stunned by Bruhli’s massive strength. Bruhli didn’t care. He then did something no one had seen before. Until now, people only saw his elemental assault. Now it was time to unleash his second elemental power. In the acidic energy that already flowed around his arms, sparks of fire appeared until it erupted in equal measure. The red and green energy began to mix and until Bruhli’s arms were surrounded by a yellow acidic flame. Bruhli had to hurry. He couldn’t keep this elemental form long. Gripping his sword Bruhli moved, but not across the ground. He moved through the air. “TINA!!! THIS IS WHERE YOU FALL!!!” Unfortunately Bruhli's attack went wide. He screamed in rage!

OOC: Actually Tinny, a few quick questions. First, if you are using confusion bombs, would the damage be 2d6 less for each? Second, I don't see anywhere that says it targets a will save. It doesn't have a save. So I assume you added a Will save because there are no auto-effects in the arena. Still, unless it has been approved by a GM, I'm not sure you can use it. Though, you may have already run the idea by a GM in a PM. If so, then my only quibble is with the bomb damage.

Whoops, you're right about the bomb damage.

00:16, Today: Tinny Tina rolled 24 using 4d6+7 with rolls of 5,6,2,4.  Confuson bomb 1, real damage.
00:16, Today: Tinny Tina rolled 19 using 4d6+7 with rolls of 1,1,5,5.  Confuson bomb 2, real damage.

In that case, you only took 48 damage total, and the first and second fly checks are DC 24 and 22 respectively.

However, Confusion Bomb definitely has a Will save

OOC: Also, wait just a second to take your turn. I may actually spend a hero point to reroll the fort save v. nausea. But first, I have a question about arena immunities. I already read the house rule, which kind of generated this question.If we are affected by a condition when we are above 1/2 hp and are later reduced below half, do immunities stop working against that initial effect? Or do arena immunities stop working when we are targeted by an effect while already below half hp?

Bruhli's HP = 97 = 142 - 33 from bombs (I have resistance 10) - 7 (Hitting self reduced by DR) - 5 (Falling damage. I only should have rolled one dice. I took the highest to be fair).

The arena immunities rule is crystal-clear.

OOC: Facially, yes, but I want to make sure the GMs considered this distinction when drafting the rule. In pathfinder, when effects are generated matter.

OOC: Tinny's interpretation is correct. One of the tactics one can use is to afflict a target with a devastating condition that lasts only every other round and then whittle them down rather than whittling them down and then using the devastating affliction. This gives the person adding the condition at least "every other round" to have an advantage while the target has to think of a way to overcome it. This puts more strategy into the game. Slightly less "lucky shot" and slightly more "you have X rounds to figure something out".

OOC: We've also had this conversation about the nauseated cloud. Moving in and out of the cloud doesn't add more than one affliction or stack duration. You just take the single highest affliction's duration after all saves are made. So if he fails the saving throw against the one that lasts 4 rounds, the other saving throws are unnecessary.

Thought I'd go ahead and mention that just in case it SAVES you time and CONFUSION (lol).
