A nervous individual shuffled into the arena. Looking down at his feet it almost looked like he didn’t want to be there. A large midnight steel greatsword hung at his back but no armor was worn. Bruhli didn’t need it. As he entered the arena, he could hear the crowds cheering. He looked around at them all. All these pathetic weak individuals with no fighting talent! Anger crept into his eyes. He wanted them to be quiet!!! Did they not understand they were in the presence of greatness? He was Bruhli! The legendary Suli Barbarian!!! He would destroy them all! But then there was a monster to destroy first. Noticing some person across the way - apparently the arena masters gave him an ally. Bruhli would destroy him too. But first, the monster. “Xin Vanalis! Prove yourself worthy in fighting this creature!” Bruhli’s anger swelled up into his bones. Where was this thing the arena masters thought was more monstrous than the legendary suli barbarian?

OOC: A few things:

1) Bruhli and Xin, you need to wait your turns. Everyone needs to choose a starting location before you post your first turn, so Bruhli, you jumped the gun 1st. Xin, your initiative was 10, not 17 so you acted before you were supposed to as well. I don't mean to get uppity on you guys but getting your FIRST ROUND wrong that badly is just embarrassing. Xin, you need to list your starting location on the map and place your X ON THE MAP first. You cannot start in the same spot as BRUHLI or the monster, you have to pick a different corner.

2) You cannot fly without a magic item, spell, spell-like ability or racial ability that grants you a fly speed. You need to read your item descriptions more carefully.

3) Magic items like your armor require you to speak a command word for your armor to activate its special ability. Even though this is a free action, it IS an action you must declare.

4) You need to roll a Stealth check in order to hide. You are assumed to have rolled a 0 if you fail to roll your skill check in this arena. Remember, you take a -5 if you move faster than half speed and invisibility is only +20 if you move at all and doesn't stack with cover bonuses or bonuses from other forms of concealment.

No, Bruhli started it by taking his turn before you had a chance to place your starting location. Then it just sort of spiraled from there. I'm pausing the monster until this knot is untied. Geez, round 1 with only 2 gladiators and we already have an initiative knot. That's got to be a record. >_<

Just state where your starting location is going to be and fix your movement.

For a moment Bruhli stares into the eyes of pure unadulterated evil. Evil so black and dark, its ebony form reeks of terror and nightmares...then, as quickly as it appeared it flew up over the wall and 15 feet above Bruhli, hovering over him like some ominousness terrible four-legged flaming monstrosity...Then, as suddenly as it appeared, it vanished behind another puff of smoke. The monstrous monster makes itself known to Bruhli, who quivers in fear.

The creature’s sudden appearance shook Bruhli. Cowards were usually never this bold. Bruhli howled in rage at the creature's boldness and the smoke. “STOP HIDING!” The creature’s feeble magic was no match for Bruhli’s inner fortitude. Dropping his great sword, he stepped out of the mist. “YOUR BOLDNESS WILL NOT SAVE YOU! YOUR MAGIC ONLY PROLONGS YOUR DESTRUCTION!!! I WILL BRING YOU DOWN TO THE EARTH AND BREAK EVERY LAST ONE OF YOUR LEGS!!!!” Bruhli pulled out his sling. Unfortunately the sling stone missed, the creature was fortunate Bruhli was shaken by its sudden bravery.

OOC: Two things to note...

1) You and Bruhli are on the same team. It's you two vs. the monster.

2) The monster isn't hiding. You can clearly see it flying in the air. Even when it's obscured by the smoke you can hear where it's snorting because it's not attempting a Stealth check at the moment. It might do so again in the future but not at the moment.

Bruhli had had enough of this waiting! And he didn't like that people were making fun of him because of his sling. He couldn’t see the flying creature through the smoke, but he stared in its general direction. The rage was palpable. OOC: Okay, Xin, I don't want to ruin your glorious moment (which I'll note the damage on the monster's next turn), but we need to go over a few things really quick.

1) You're a 5th level rogue. You add +3d6 sneak attack damage to that since the monster couldn't see you when you attacked (flat-footed). So you need to add 3d6 MORE damage to that. A VICIOUS hit for your level, so congrats on that.

2) However, you'd already know the answer to that question if you had read the description for the invisibility spell. Asking that question is like asking the referee to tie your shoes for you at a sports game. You're a literate person, just read the spell. 3) Your character just moved over difficult terrain, which costs 2 spaces of movement for every 1 square you step over. Thus, you moved 7 spaces (35 feet) but you're limited to a base speed of 6 spaces (30 feet). You'll need to fix your movement. You'll also need to correct your combat post. You seem to have accidentally copied the monster's stats in addition to your own.

4) I noticed that you deleted the feats on your character sheet. Why? You're only denying yourself bonuses you could've had. Plus, you're not supposed to change your character sheet while you're in a match anyway...if this were a PvP match, you'd be instantly disqualified for that. Thank goodness this is just a training match, so you're fine. I'm just letting you know for the future.

Recommendation: You can take the Fleet feat and give yourself +5 feet to your base speed (+1 space) so that you can actually move 7 spaces (35 feet) and then replace your other 2 feats as well before we continue: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/...-feats/fleet---final

2. Just confirming my suspicion.
3. Question is that a wall that I can't bypass or sort of a high ledge? Cause if that's the case then I did make a mistake. I thought I can pass in between. I'll just make a shorter move.
4. Actually I didn't deleted it.  I was already in here when I noticed that I made a mistake of putting my Character Traits as Feats. And for the sake of following the rules I didn't add yet my feats.  I'm leaving it blank till we are done here.  But since with your permission, I'll go add my feats.
