Chou-Zhen speaks the same word a third time, and a cloud of sparks springs up by the second half of the door to the sanctum.

Ales ignites the quilted tunic of one of the ashigaru, causing the man to try qnd beat out the flames.

The swordsman falls to one knee after being struck by Iskander's hooked sword, the affected leg is unnaturally bent.

Tanaka can see that while Bresnark's man wears chain, and his face is exposed, Bresnark himself is only wearing quilted armor with a jack of plates over the torso, and no head covering.

The scattered forces below seem to consist of about half a dozen back clad ninja (maybe more, they are hard to see) and about nine warriors in mixed armor; some have only quilted armor, some wear layered lamelar, and not all have jinghasa or other headgear. They are disorganized, and it is very likely that you recruited the best skilled of them in the persons of Xu abd Chung Wang.

The ashigaru's head flies off, and a fountain of blood sprays from the stump of his neck.

At the same time, Chung crushes a man's chest and knocks him across the courtyard.

Xu cuts through the wrist of a climbing ninja, cauig him to drop outside off the wall.

Numbah Three Son squares off against an armored ashigaru also armed with a naginata.

Two other black clad bodies fall off the roof, their bodies pierced with multiple shuriken hurled by the household catfolk.

Within the sanctum, the two ashigaru gave taken defensive postures by the doors not sparked by Chou-Zen.

After surveying the scene, Tanaka slung his bow, drew his sword, and headed towards the melee in the courtyard below.

Iskander made a prodigious leap, and tumbled out of the way, to avoid Chye's bloodbath.

Chou-Zhen stands quietly near the sanctum doors, trying to listen to the progress of the battle over the soft crackling of his lightning whip and spark clouds.

After taking the head, Chye bellows frighteningly, raising his polearm back into sword grip.
"エイエイオー!!!"
"Aye! Aye! Oh!" *translates roughly to: Come on, Let's fight!*

Numbah three son parries against his attacker's thrust, and cuts into the man's arm.

Three separate minimally armored men attack,  swinging blades at Ales, Chye and Iskander. One has his back to Tanaka!

The three of you need to defend!

Chung Wang smashes the helmet of another attacker with his tetsubo.

Xu parries an attack from a  ninja climbing through the hole Ales inadvertently created, and counterstrikes, stabbing the black clad attacker in the torso.

Unfortunately,  he is struck by an arrow fired from a rooftop beyond the wall, and collapses.

The two swordsmen who were attacking Chye and Iskander try to shift their grips and attack again.

Ales needs to defend, or be struck for 7 points cutting before DR.
